The Wave Data Migration Leader is a key role in our teams responsible for implementing our new company ERP platform Unify based on SAP S4 Hana.

For each stage of the UNIFY implementation project the Wave Data Migration Leader is following the execution plan with the list of deliverables and gate criteria.

The stages are J2R (Journey to readiness), preparation, explore, realize, deployment and run.

During the project the Wave Data Migration Leader must coordinate the project team and other data stakeholders on data tasks, animate SIM and indicate the KPI. There are multiple data stakeholders involved:

  • Digital Data Solution Team
  • Data Migration PMO
  • Development Migration team (DTC)
  • Data Load Leader (DTC)
  • Data Factory Load Team (DTC)
  • PMDM Working on data deliverables by project stage (scoping, cleansing, data preparation, data management)
  • BRM
  • DPE
  • Data Core Team
  • MDG


In the end of each stage Wave Data Migration Leader must make the go decision together with Project manager. All the gate criteria’s must be shared with team. If readiness is not on the good level risk and impact must be highlighted and escalated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Migration Leadership: Ensure data from legacy systems to the Unify solution, guaranteeing data integrity, consistency, and quality throughout the process.
  • Data Analysis and Mapping: Identify legacy data sources (including MDG, PDM), analyze existing structures, and define transformation/mapping rules for migration to Unify.
  • SAP Configuration and Customizing: Adapt SAP modules (ECC, Private Cloud, Public Cloud) to accommodate migrated data, considering business-specific requirements and target processes.
  • Migration Tools Proficiency: Master LSMW, MOM, Migration Cockpit, and OneShuttle to automate data transfers, create migration scripts, and validate results.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams (IT, development), business teams, and project managers to ensure a seamless migration aligned with business objectives.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop migration procedures, train end-users, and provide post-migration support.
  • Data Steward Leaders and Data Load team support (J2R till Cut Over)
  • Activities coordination and progress monitoring, escalations, blocking points and try to solve them effectively to secure smooth migration process
  • Requirements collection from Data Steward Leaders to evaluate eligibility to implement it as global solution or “exceptions”
  • Data Load Leader Support to secure project timelines and collect additional inputs
  • In charge of MOM project setup for each rollout, value mapping settings in MOM, Data Load plan definition and follow-up
  • Secure all relevant people is trained on process and data tools


About you:

  • Relevant academic degree from a business or technical university
  • Significant experience from complex data migration roles and working in large programs/projects
  • Significant hands-on experience with SAP systems in a fast-moving, highly critical, enterprise application environment (see examples of concrete tools under “skills needed”)
  • Project management experience and experience coordinating small teams
  • Experience from large enterprises and experience working in global teams is a plus
  • Knowledge of the Schneider IT landscape is a plus


Required skills :

  • Data Migration : Proven experience in migrating data from legacy systems to unified solutions (Unify, S/4HANA, etc.). Mastery of mapping, cleansing, and data validation methodologies.
  • SAP Tools : Expert use of LSMW for data migration. Knowledge of SAP queries (SQVI, SQ01) for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). SAP debug.
  • Business Understanding : Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. In-depth knowledge of business processes impacted by migration, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, Supply Chain Flow, and Logistics.


  • Travel requirements:

    Travel will be needed to be on-site for deployments etc.
