Product Owners and Solution Owners are key positions in a global organization, delivering value to the business and customers while maintaining a clear view on what the customer needs and what needs to get done.
Product Owners / Solution Owners represent the customer and act autonomously to communicate the right vision of the product within the Squads/Solutions teams while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders (customers / commercial / plant / internal sponsors / One Solutions Operations). They partner with Segment Leaders to set priorities (define, own and maintain the backlog), drive the strategic intent of the product and maximize the value of work done with the Squad/Solution teams. They create a conducive and collaborative environment through effective leadership. The Product Owner/Solution Owner acts as “General Manager” of the Portfolio.
In ESXP End User segments teams, we are the strategic owner of the solution portfolio, guiding it from ideation through its entire lifecycle by driving market insights, defining the commercial strategy, and ensuring readiness across the organization.
The Solution Owner for Electric Vehicle Fast Charging & Load Management System scope for Depot / In transit en route applications is therefore to drive the end to end solution with several teams splitted in the several organizations Power Systems and Services, MicroGrid, Prosumers, Digital Power, One Solutions Operations towards One consistent end to end solution for our customers.
Your missions :
1. Define value proposition & set solution strategy, in alignment with Segment & LoBs vision & to ensure team achieves strategic goals
- Spend time with customers & stakeholders to identify value drivers.
- Understand customer values, appication, competitive environment, market trends, go to market and anticipate evolutions.
- Contribute to define services offers linked to the solution portfolio.
- Gather and analyze customer’s needs by meeting customers and collaborating regularly with business stakeholders.
- Evaluate the strategic value of the offer.
- Define and validate the offer value propositions (MVP, use cases, business models, identify who are the arly adopters, go-to-market, segment to target).
- Understand technical trends to identify valuable innovations in the product environment.
- Conduct market research, including persona interviews and win/loss analysi, to identify market problems.
- Develop the business case for new offers, including market requirements, pricing, and a compelling value prop.
- Co-developed POC/POV project by leveraging GCP into scalable application modules.
- Establish Customer Feedback Loops: Create a formal process to gather feedback from customers, sales, adn technical teams.
- Convince LoB to prioritize segment requirement in their roadmap by selling the business case.
- Competitive analysis, positioning & UVP, Elevate the sales enablement by consolidating UVP from Solution Architect, use case, pain points.
- TVDA structure : work with the Solution Architect to define Cross-BU by segment TVDA Architecture and value proposition at package level : address segmentation within the segment and provide solutions for different packages.
- Develop the overall Go-To-Market plan & communicate the Segment Solution Strategy to all internal stakeholders.
- Specify Need & Select Offer : providing the necessary tools and guidance for sales team ; battle cards, etc.
- Create Customer Success Stories.
- Offer Promotion support : Create segment-specific messaging, content, and campaigns, including digital marketing, events, and advertising to generate demand and leads.
2. Set and drive the Solution Program Execution Plan, and Lead the different Agile Milestones with the LoBs/Segments in a consistent manner along with LoBs Products Owners- MVP, Consistent Release Plans & execution , Partipate to the different rituals (program PI…) for priorization and major execution ones, system demo, validate the deliverables by respective squads in consistency with back log priorities
Lead the Solution End to End , embark GCP as part of your team being as Technical Antenna for PoC, TVDA, IVV related topics. - Clarify definition of Done for Incubation (pilots) and Scaling phases.
- Define and Lead incubation phase, closely management of the customer pilots to learn.
- Define & Lead scale phase (Solutions with LoBs, indus, plants, software scaling, support, quality, cyber).
- Maintain the Solution portfolio once launched (upgrades, adaptations etc.).
3. Create, prioritize & communicate within the several squads and several organizations require the backlog, release map & roadmap.- Challenge and evaluate requests (from business, quality).
- Periodically review critical quality issues and associated mitigation plans.
- Build and prioritize the product backlog.
- Communicate backlog refinement.
- Define, update and validate the offer/marketing requirement (in sync with companion Squads and Leagues guidelines / strategy) within backlog product prioritization.
- Build the releases plan and global roadmap according to technology, feasibility, budget, resources, TTM.
- Communicate the product roadmap to all stakeholders.
- Periodically review customers demo feedback to assess new needs.
- Periodically review with internal stakeholders (including management agreement).
- Lead the offer requirement trade-offs.
4. Define with Solutions teams’ members the program sprint strategy and achievement criteria. Take accountability in sharing outcomes with stakeholders.- Organize iterative deliverables for each sprint based on release objectives.
- Ensure team understands and refines backlog items before committing to them.
- Ensure sprint objectives contribute to value for customer (backlog) and product/process robustness.
- Define and update achievement criteria.
- Consider retro session outcomes in the iterative sprint definition.
- Guide the Squad to set-up and re-prioritize realistic but ambitious enough sprint objectives : squad velocity.
5. Support the LoBs Squad to deliver on sprints & “rendez-vous”, acting as obstacle troubleshooter :- Be the voice of the customer for the LoBs squad questions.- Support the Solution team on all obstacles (including capacity issues).
- Periodic analysis of the solution cost to deliver the right level of solution cost.
- Define the best trade-offs between all parameters (e.g. : Solution budget, schedule, product cost and business stake, quality, time to market, innovation).
- Ensure product/process robustness (according to “ major rendezvous “).
- Review periodically main acceptance criteria with the Solution Team.
- Synchronize with companion Products Squads in line of business.
- Manage portfolio of your solutions from creation, to incubation to scale / maintain.
6. Create a conducive and collaborative environment through effective leadership.- Organize, lead, challenge and motivate the Solution team.
- Be the voice of the Solution team in case of trade offs and success needs with stakeholders outside of the Squad.
- Provide transparency to key stakeholders.
- Be part of the Agile rendez-vous.
- Celebrate Solution team’s success.
Your profile : - Master’s degree in Engineering and Business
- 10 years of product management and project development experience and/or solution architect.
- 5 years of project development experience on an Agile Team or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong Knowledge into EV depot and transit / en route applications case domains, understanding of Charging Point Owners.
- Persona and OEM of this market , software and Flexibility + MV/LV/Trnasformers/EV chargers/ Software soltions domains.
- Experience on Mobility market / e-mobility market / technologies.
- Sales or business development on these market is a plus.
- Good understanding of technology of load management systems for EV fast charging (modbus, OCPP…).
- Experience presenting to Customers & Leaders.
- Experience in successfully building and leading teams in a complex matrix environment.
- Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), an in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles would be an advantage.
