Join Schneider Electric Design team!

What will be your role ?

We are fast growing and we want to do so healthily.
Our mission is to strengthen user-centered design at scale and ensure research plays a core role in shaping meaningful Schneider Electric experiences, by enabling teams to practice and communicate decisions informed by research, data, and field insights to solve the right problems and deliver impact.

You will be part of the Design team and report to the VP Design.
We are looking for a Service Design Director to play a key role in the transformation of Schneider Electric. You define and lead the Service Design strategy at group level to improve customer, partner and employee experiences, while fully integrating the challenges of energy transition, industrial performance, safety and regulatory compliance.
You operate in a complex, multi-business and multi-country environment and work closely with the group’s strategic leadership.

You will be responsible for :

Group Vision, Strategy & Governance

  • Define the Service Design vision and strategy aligned with the group’s overall strategy and objectives
  • Establish and lead a transversal design governance (standards, frameworks, references, quality assurance) adapted to industrial and regulatory constraints
  • Design and manage a scalable operating model across entities, countries and business lines
  • Ensure end-to-end service coherence across customer, partner, and employee journeys
  • Act as a strategic partner for business leaders and group governance bodies
Executive Leadership & Organizational Management
  • Lead a multi-team design organization composed of senior profiles (service design, UX, research, design operations)
  • Drive designers across different entities and geographies
  • Define roles, career paths, seniority levels and performance standards
  • Drive strategic hiring, talent development and retention
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability and cross-functional collaboration
Energy Services Transformation
  • Oversee large-scale, multi-year service transformation programs
  • Design and improve services related to energy management.
  • Integrate constraints related to industrial systems, legacy IT, safety, business continuity and cybersecurity
  • Work closely with IT, Digital, Industrial, Operations, Innovation and Data teams
  • Support the evolution of operating models and internal processes
Impact, Performance & Value Management
  • Define and monitor group-level impact indicators (NPS, CSAT, CES, adoption, operational efficiency)
  • Measure the contribution of Service Design to economic, environmental and operational performance
  • Drive continuous improvement of services and journeys
Influence, Culture & Internal Advocacy
  • Represent the voice of the user (customers, public authorities, employees) at executive and board-level forums
  • Build design and user-centric maturity among senior leaders and business teams
  • Enable cross-entity, cross-country collaboration
  • Represent the group within the energy, innovation and design ecosystems
This job has been tailored for you if you :
  • 15+ years of experience in Service Design, Strategic Design or Customer Experience, ideally within energy, utilities, industrial or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven experience leading complex, distributed design organizations
  • Strong understanding of industrial, and operational environments
  • Recognized leadership with strong executive influence and decision-making capabilities
  • Strategic vision combined with strong operational credibility
  • Excellent communication skills in English (French is a strong plus)
Even better if :
  • You have experience navigating large, complex organizations with strong IT and compliance constraints.You have worked across B2B and B2C contexts.
