As Head of People, you’ll build a scalable, data-driven People engine that supports hypergrowth while strengthening culture, alignment, and leadership maturity. You’ll operate with full ownership across People Ops, Talent, and Culture, while partnering directly with the founders and team leads.
You will
- Build and scale People Ops foundations: HRIS, policies, compliance, contracts, and documentation
- Oversee hiring excellence, partnering with managers to ensure a predictable, high-quality recruitment process
- Redesign onboarding into a structured, automated, culture-first experience
- Implement performance, growth, and feedback systems including 360 reviews and manager enablement
- Lead engagement rituals, communication cadences, and company offsites
- Ensure compliance across France and key international jurisdictions (DE, UK, US)
- Provide data and insights to leadership for org design, capacity planning, and retention
- Coach managers and leadership to develop autonomy and alignment across teams
- Protect and elevate Qevlar’s culture as we scale
Who you are
You thrive in fast-moving environments, bring clarity where there is ambiguity, and are energized by building from scratch. You care about people but operate with a systems mindset.
You have:
- 5–8 years of experience in People Ops or HR, including ownership over hiring, onboarding, performance, and compliance
- A track record building or scaling People functions in startups or scale-ups
- Strong understanding of French employment law
- Hands-on mastery of HR tools (HRIS, ATS, payroll, EOR)
- Experience hiring for technical and engineering teams
- Data fluency: you rely on metrics to improve people processes and influence decisions
- Excellent communication skills in English

- Experience supporting multi-country teams
- Exposure to AI tools in People or Talent workflows
- Previous experience in B2B SaaS scaleups
