• 10-15+ years of related overall experience, which includes either consulting environment, client side progressive experience or a mix of both
• Currently still hands on or with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in development before moving to engineering management, solution/enterprise architecture of a mix of those
• Current or previous experience in one to many languages: typescript/javascript, java, python, etc… and a good grasp of the pros and cons of them
• Working knowledge of distributed architectures, choregraphy/orchestration/ reactive architecture, microservices, APIs design and general product engineering best practices
• You have broad experience of the current technology ecosystem: cloud providers, commerce vendors, experience platforms, events brokers, data processing platforms, analytics and business intelligence, big data and AI, etc…
• Comfortable with Cloud architecture, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering best practices (also you know how to work with experts)
• Broad experience of the entire lifecycle: from inception of a project, MVP scoping, ongoing agile development and operations in engineering management or solution architecture capacity
• Extensive experience of agile delivery and scaled agile (SAFE or other scaled agile methodology) ideally on the ‘architecture runway’ side
• Previous experience of ‘real-life’ continuous architecture practices (ideally you have worked within an architecture guild / team for a large organization)
• Demonstrated influence with senior customers or internal stakeholders in previous roles (Architecture, Engineering management and/or business stakeholders) – you can adjust your explanations to influence your stakeholders (you have been advising senior stakeholders effectively including building complex recommendation and roadmaps)
• Highly self-directed. Able to multi-task given incomplete and conflicting knowledge and prioritize multiple projects/initiatives in a deadline-driven environment. Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project planning, staffing, and estimating in an iterative software development process
• Demonstrated knowledge of requirements elicitation, requirements analysis and design using a variety of techniques (logical architecture, domain modelling, sequence diagrammes, data modelling, etc…)
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable degree preferred but life experience mostly valued
• Fluent English and French language compulsory
