Context and work environment
Within Atril Solutions, a company specializing in Computer Assisted Translation software (CAT Tool).
The company is located in a large coworking area in the south of Lille (France).

Your mission
The company publishes the DéjàVu software, used by thousands of translators around the world.
This software is mainly developed in VB6 and a rewriting project has been launched to modernize it using more suitable languages (C#, C++) and the latest Windows APIs.
Your first mission will be to take in hand the software code and maintain it as it is.
In a second step, you will have to port the VB6 code to C# in order to make the software evolve towards a new, reliable and modern major version, and then in a third step, to maintain the software by integrating new functionalities.

Your team
You will work under the supervision of the CTO and as part of a team with the U.S.-based creator of the software.

Required skills

• Good experience with Visual Basic 6.0 (COM) applications
• Good knowledge of C#
• A taste for advanced algorithms and data structures
• Good ability to work autonomously

Desired skills

• Knowledge of the Windows API
• Knowledge of low-level COM architectures.
• Mastery of C++, STL and ATL/WTL
