Your Responsibilities
Write, understand, and review Python, Bash, R, and Nextflow scripts in bioinformatics workflows
Review, understand and optimize, and streamline existing bioinformatic pipelines, especially the infrastructure facilitating the logistics of input intermediary and output data
Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians to provide scripting and technical support, refactor code according best practice standards keeping ease of maintenance in mind
Maintain the modular structure of our codebase
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Proficiency in Python, Docker, and HTML
Professional working proficiency in English (both writing and spoken).
Nice-to-Have (in order of priority):
Prior knowledge in bioinformatics
Able to present results with proper visualization
Proficiency in R
Familiarity with pipeline automation tools like Nextflow
Proficiency with PostgreSQL
