Context

Within this global footprint, The Commercial Excellence team at PR HQ – Global Markets is responsible for building the “PR Way” for Commercial, with convergent processes and ways-of-working, seeking scale and agility to beat the market.

The Commercial Development & Execution Excellence team within Commercial Excellence is responsible for the field sales excellence, customer engagement and sales training & upskilling initiatives being built and deployed to markets.

Job purpose:

As a Global Commercial Development & Execution Excellence Intern, you will contribute to accelerating Pernod Ricard’s commercial performance across markets, gaining exposure to strategic topics, cross‑functional collaboration, and state‑of‑the‑art sales capabilities.

The Commercial Development & Execution Excellence Intern will support the team across key initiatives within the Achieving Commercial Excellence (ACE) framework, which aims to uplift market capabilities across execution excellence, customer engagement, and sales team upskilling. The intern will also contribute to the acceleration of our digital transformation, helping prepare materials, analysis, and coordination activities linked to the D‑STAR Key Digital Program.

Main responsibilities:

1. Support Commercial Maturity Assessment (CMA) Delivery

  • Assist the team in preparing CMA missions with markets.
  • Help collect, structure, and analyze market inputs ahead of CMA workshops.
  • Support follow‑up activities after CMAs (summaries, documentation, updates to action plans).
  • Contribute to tracking the progress of key Commercial Excellence initiatives across markets.

2. Support to ACE (Achieving Commercial Excellence) Initiatives

  • Assist in maintaining the definition and documentation of global standards for selected ACE initiatives.
  • Help prepare benchmarking materials and consolidate best practices from PR market companies.
  • Support coordination with Tech teams (C3, AI, etc.) by preparing inputs, notes, and follow‑up actions.
  • Contribute to the internal communication materials related to ACE frameworks and updates.
  • Participate in preparing content and logistics for ACE task forces or working groups.

3. D‑STAR Key Digital Program (KDP) Support

D‑STAR is a Pernod Ricard digital product, enriched with data and machine learning, empowering sales teams with actionable insights to allocate resources more effectively.

The intern will:

  • Support the Commercial Excellence team in coordinating D‑STAR deployments in selected markets.
  • Help prepare roadmap content, follow‑up actions, meeting notes, and presentation materials.
  • Contribute to KPI tracking, business value dashboard monitoring, and analysis of market performance.
  • Support the organization of key governance rituals
  • Assist in preparing communication materials (newsletters, updates, learning content).

4. ACE Vision & Framework Support

  • Contribute to the development of selected ACE frameworks, tools, or guidelines.
  • Support the update of ACE documentation based on new learnings from markets.
  • Help consolidate insights and feedback to refine PR Commercial Excellence vision and roadmap.

Past experience:

  • Must-haves:
    • Academic background in Business, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or similar.
    • Previous professional experience in a tech company, consulting company, or project management in a multinational company or complex matrixial organization context
    • Strong interest in Commercial topics (Sales, Route‑to‑Market, Customer Strategy)
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to structure and interpret data.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional and international teams.
    • Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, …) and capacity to deliver content in efficient and agile manner.
    • Ability to work in a multicultural team
    • Fluent in English. French and/or other languages are a plus.

  • Nice-to-have:
    • Experience in digital transformation and business-oriented software deployment
    • Understanding of sales processes, especially in Consumer Goods industry
    • Basic data science/machine learning knowledge and understanding
    • Familiarity with Agile ways of working and tools.
