Since 2015, papernest has been transforming the way people manage their contracts, making subscription, management, and switching simple through one smart, intuitive platform.
We have supported more than 2 million customers across France, Spain, and Italy. Along the way, we have continued to invest in new verticals, establishing papernest as a high-performing, innovative, and competitive scale-up in a fast-growing market.
With over 900 employees, we are strengthening our position as a European market leader.
As a Junior Finance Operations Analyst, you will join a fast-paced Finance team at the heart of papernest’s growth. Your mission is two-fold: ensuring the absolute reliability of our current financial flows while building the scalable processes of tomorrow.
You will work in close partnership with the Finance Operations Manager and help oversee an intern dedicated to the Energia scope.
Driving the Engine: papernest Energia (75%)
- Operational Run: Manage the daily billing cycle and payment flows (handling rejects, refunds, and integrations with tools like Stripe, GoCardless, and Django).
- Operational Control: Design and implement financial "guardrails" to ensure data integrity. You are the guardian of consistency between our internal tools and banking realities.
- Process Improvement: Identify friction points, automate repetitive tasks, and play a key role in upcoming migrations (e.g., transitioning to Quixotic).
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Solve complex billing discrepancies and conduct analyses to optimize cash flow and financial health.
- Mentorship : Support and coordinate the tasks of a Finance intern on the Energia perimeter.
Operational Support: Insurance & MRH (15%)
- Billing Oversight: Ensure seamless billing and tracking for the insurance business line.
- Consistency Checks: Audit and verify data alignment between management platforms (Merlin) and banking interfaces (BNP/Exabanque).
Transversal operations and new projects (10%)
- Support billing processes in other businesses as needed
- Help design, implement and manage end-to-end billing processes on new businesses
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. 3 years’ experience in Audit or Finance Operations is highly preferred.
The "Hands-on" Mindset: You aren't afraid to "get your hands dirty." You enjoy diving deep into data, troubleshooting bugs, and navigating complex back-office tools (Django, SQL is a plus).
The "Big Picture" Vision: You don't just execute; you analyze. You understand how operational details impact the P&L and are always looking for ways to automate and optimize.
Languages: Bilingual Spanish & English. You must be able to communicate fluently with local Spanish partners/banks while collaborating with the French-speaking HQ. English is our working language.
Tech-Savvy: Advanced Excel skills are mandatory. You have a natural appetite for Tech environments (ERP).
Soft Skills: High autonomy, rigor, and the ability to thrive in a shifting, high-growth environment.

🏆 Benefits: as a home insurance provider and a supplier of green electricity and gas, we offer attractive deals to our employees. After all, there’s no reason why things should only be simpler for our customers!
