Welcoming you to the Nexans Marine Installation Team

Located in Norway, the team consists of  highly competent members that are highly experienced and have unique skills in subsea cable installation and Subsea cable protection. Working closely with the engineering teams, we are able to plan and execute marine and land cable installation projects anywhere in the world. We are able to overcome environmental constraints and client requirements with our unique expertise. Nexans is now introducing a new specialized subsea cable installation vessel to the market, the Nexans Electra. So we are looking for 6 new colleagues to strengthen the onboard the Nexans Installation vessels: Nexans Electra, Nexans Aurora, Nexans Skagerrak and other Nexans chartered installations Vessels. Taking the roles onboard as Operations/Offshore Managers and Operations Supervisors.

Getting a flying start

To succeed in Marine Installation, you need experience in the energy, maritime, offshore, oil & gas, marine, infrastructure or  construction fields. You have experience in Subsea installation operations, preferably with cables, umbilical’s. You are used to working offshore and in teams, with project management and project engineers. You are used to work in teams during operations and coordinating the installation crews, ROV teams, Survey teams, the vessel team and interfacing with the teams on land during pull-in operations and loading. You are the main contact point toward client representatives onboard during  operations and reporting directly to the Project managers. You will be part of project teams during the planning and engineering phases of the projects.

Your starting point when you join

• More than 5 years of relevant Offshore operations experience in  Supervisory positions
• Experience with complex marine operations with subsea installation work.
• Experience with DP (Dynamic Positioning) systems preferably qualified DP 1.
• As you will work with Office based systems such as Word, Excel, Teams.
• Medically fit for offshore operations. Seamans Medical.
• Offshore safety qualified (Such as OPITO, BOISET or GWO)
• Nexans works in teams based on project execution, so being self-driven and being able to take charge of one's own tasks are of the utmost importance. 
• Fluent in English – oral and written. Norwegian is a plus. 
• Your personal values are aligned with those of Nexans: Pioneer, Dedicated, United. 

You may have an advantage if you

• Previous experience with Nexans Cable installations and protection operations.
• Local in Norway, Eastern part.
• Have work visas to US and/or Australia
• Have experience with offshore surveys
• Knowledge of the NOV/MAATS cable lays systems
