GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION 

As a Production Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible to supervise the production department according to safety, quality, production and delivery reliability standards. This role is ideal for someone with a growth mindset who thrives in problem-solving, promoting a positive work environment, and striving for continuous improvement.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

• Interact directly or indirectly with other departments (maintenance, engineering, customers and suppliers) to resolve problems with the breakdown of equipment, process control problems and quality issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize lost production time and meet delivery requirements.
• Provide motivation, coaching and support within the scope of responsibility for operator compliance to machine production targets & speed, continuous improvement, and corrective actions.
• Resolve problems with machines or with the product being manufactured (test failures and materials not passing specification) in order to ensure manufacturing efficiency.
• Support the administration of time and attendance programs, requests for vacation and leaves, machine postings, overtime coverage, disciplines & grievances, payroll system, new operator training & operator recertification program.
• Facilitate and support any initiatives and projects to meet company strategy and KPI Objectives.
• Effectively communicate new policies and procedures to machine operators to ensure compliance with Safety, 5S, SQEC, & Production.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong leadership skills
• College diploma in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Specific knowledge in Material Management, problem solving
• Have a strong understanding of the production process including machine capacities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
