Position : IT Core Manufacturing Digital Expert - Visualisation & Analytics

Context

§He/She operates at global Level managing projects and support for Manufacturing Applications such as MS Developed based solutions ‘Connected Workers’ (operator social network & shopfloor mobility) and Alerting Management System combined with off the shelf Solutions such as ‘Fabriq’ (SQDCE / SMR tool), ‘Resource Advisor’ (Energy monitoring), ‘Aveva Insight’, Aveva ‘Historian’, ‘Trend’, ‘Query’ ..

§He/she operates in tight collaboration with solution provider and business teams

§He/She is part of the Industrial Digital Transformation Center of Excellence and contributes/coordinates the functional deployment projects from gap analysis to delivery till acceptance of the applications in scope on IT related topic

§He/She is the guarantor of the standard defined for applications in scope and contributes to the analyse of each request for customization or evolution

Purpose

§He/She defines, implements and leads or manages IS/IT projects from project design stages to project acceptance, with the aim of obtaining an optimum result in compliance with the requirements of the Business.

§The Project design and implementation encompass the assistance of key users to write business requirements and to propose the solutions to be implemented. Based on resulting functional specifications, he analyses and configures software package components, and makes changes as necessary to components, in compliance with standards and procedures.

§He/She supports and supervises the support of applications in his/her scope.

§He/She will work closely with local factory / central IT/IS, industrial and program stakeholders with the aim to deliver the needed functional prerequisites required by the industrial solutions(i.e. Low Level Functional specification, Interface Specifications, coordinate delivery of integration according to a defined functional architecture

§He/she will monitor the standardization according a common defined solution within the concerned area

§He/she ensures a homogeneous transversal communication (IS strategy & policy) with the business and IT

§He/she guarantees a good documentation (functional) of implemented solutions in the relative plants

§He/she consolidates data for Information security risks analysis or for architectural purposes to guarantee a secure and homogenous environment

Areas of responsibility

§Strategy

oSupport the business to translate their requirements into IT-OT projects a functional referent for the rest of the IT/IS teams on the delivery of the Functional Specification Documentations, System Integration, Interfaces, …) required by the Industrial Solution

oPromote the functional deployment of plant digitalization

oParticipate in business demand analysis to support functional evolutions keeping an overall coherence

oParticipate in the assessment and choice of technologies

oAnalyze gap between business needs and technology standards

oPromote the standardization in defending IT and business strategy

§Design

oContribute to the design and implementation of the IT/OT standards and solutions

oEstimate the resources and means necessary for activities within his/her area of responsibility

oEnsure a fluent communication between the IT, IS, OT teams and the business

oContribute to the relationship with external suppliers

oPlan the workload, communicate it and monitor adherence to service commitments

§Development & Delivery

oGuarantee the coherence between the IT/IS/OT services and the business needs

oDevelop adequate functional solution towards the local business demands in IT/IS and OT

oCommunicate on time towards IT, IS, OT and business or program about the project evolutions or ensure the effective resolution on time of incidents and problems within his/her area

Be the key functional delivery actor within the IT/IS organization and the Industrial Digital Transformation Program with the aim to deliver all required functional prerequisites in time as per defined plan

§Operations & Support

oGuarantees the performance of the daily incident management and small evolution requests

oMaintains a good relationship with the internal functional expert roles (SME, ERP expert, Connectivity Experts) as well the Third Party Application management stakeholders

oSupport the functional design acceptance and go-live stabilization support on plants within the defined perimeter

oSupport the hand over to RUN acceptance with the needed deliverables

oEnsure the needed functional knowledge and documentation transfer to the teams accepting the operational support

oWorks in close relationship with the production departments and IT project teams during the entire project phase until the end of the stabilization phase

oEnsure the fluent communication between IT/IS and the program stakeholders

§Continuous Improvement

oHe/she encourage continues architecture and deployment process improvements and makes proposals to enhance them

oContributes to return of experience analyses with the aim to improve the delivery

oEnsure that the documentation in his field is coherent, available, maintained, distributed and applied

oUpdate Knowledge Management System with relevant documents

§Security

oGuarantee the respect of the cyber security principles defined and reports any anomalies

oSupports Security by Design principles and enhancements

oContributes to return of experience analyses with the aim to improve the hardening

Respect the Shopfloor Safety rules when entering the production area

Expected results

§Lead the functional delivery by coordinating the different IT/IS & Industrial Process owner teams to achieve the deployment of the application (need description, cutover, acceptance, etc..)

§Anticipate activities and technical resources with the aim to secure the timeline

§Escalate in time, identify risks and propose mitigation with the aim the secure the timeline

§Guarantees the performance of the daily incident management and evolution requests

§Communicate progress

Position sizing

The IT Core Manufacturing Digital Expert reports hierarchically to the IS Supply Chain and Manufacturing Domain Manager

Required skills and qualifications

§Industrial profile with application developing coordination skills maintaining a group standard

§Experience with different Industrial applications, understanding of Production execution & MES is an added value

§3-5 year of experience in industrial applications management and functional understanding

§Functional & business process understanding capabilities to support need description & functional delivery of business functionalities

§Strong team player with a collaborative approach to working with business stakeholders.

§Curiosity and innovation

§Autonomy and initiative with the ability to share cross-functional information between Business and IS

§Excellent communication and storytelling skills

§Willingness to travel between Nexans plants

§Fluent in English; French is an added value
