Job Description

Position : First Line Production Manager

Organization

Context

Reorganisation and replacement

Purpose

The First Line Manager manages and leads production teams in line with objectives in quantity, quality, costs and deadlines, in respect of People and Customers.

He/she enforces the safety and environment standards to his teams.

Areas of responsibility

  • Develops talents within his teams.
  • Involves teams in the decision-making process.
  • Takes part in recruiting within his working area.
  • Conducts annual assessments, and proposes training plan
 
  • Manages the daily production operation in line with objectives in quantity, quality, cost and deadlines.
  • Fine-tunes and ensures the production schedule within his area.
  • Weekly plans of the resources based on the planning schedule.
  • Managing the quality auto control system, doing the root cause of NCRs and taking the necessary corrective action
  • Design and implement flow manufacturing in BW stock items
  • Challenges, motivates and follows up on operators to achieve KPIs target and records in production
  • Implements, analyzes the KPIs in his unit, and takes the necessary corrective action to improve the efficiency
  • Identifies and analyzes the bottlenecks within his area.
  • Sets the KPIs target and action plan to achieve them
 
  • Implements ISO 9001:2008 standards and corrective action in his unit
  • Implements NEW in his unit and the plant as well through coaching and delegating
  • Make sure production procedures are respected
  • Conduct ISO audits
 
  • Motivates operators to be proactive in detecting and reporting the problems they meet.

Expected results

  • On time, respecting the quality standards and quantity, delivery of Finished and semi fished goods
  • Maximise the efficiency of the machines cost effectively
  • Monitor the KPIs to prevent surprises popping out at t5he end of the month
  • Create a safe, pleasant work ambiance

Required skills and qualifications

  • Electrical or Engineering degree
  • Previous experience in field and on-site
  • Leadership skills
  • 3-5 years experience
