About the internship

As part of our Data department and within the R&D team, you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative research projects and contribute to the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms. You'll work closely with experienced research engineers and data scientists to explore new models, analyze complex datasets, and create solutions that will have a direct impact on our products.

We're recruiting for a 6-month end-of-studies internship starting between January and May 2026.

You'll be supervised by a senior AI Research Engineer throughout your internship to guide you through your research, hypothesis validation, implementation of innovative solutions, and refinement of your technical skills.

Our stack and tools

Python, Hugging Face, Databricks, AWS, Spark, Airflow, SQL, AnyScale, vLLM, KServe, Galileo, OpenAI, Mistral, …

On a daily basis, you will:

• Translate and adapt ideas from research papers into code using machine learning frameworks, delivering outputs such as models, embeddings, code, etc.
• Actively monitor and stay informed of the latest academic advances and practices in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence models and share them with the team
• Collaborate closely with other teams to identify new opportunities for innovation aimed at improving AI-related products and features

Here are some projects for the internship:

• Out of domain detection for LLMs: detect automatically out-of-domain queries in order to avoid hallucinations, inappropriate answers or silent bugs.
• Modeling user behavior user behaviors using Graph Neural Networks to predict links (user-product, product-product view or order, etc.) to boost click-through-rate of our recommender systems
• Design and implement a large-scale, quality‑controlled evaluation framework across retail oriented models; publish findings through an academic publication

You will be a strong fit for this role if:

• You're in your final year of a Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or university in applied mathematics
• You’re fluent in French; English is a plus
• You know Python and its data science modules (pandas, sklearn, pytorch, tensorflow, transformers...)
• You're familiar with data preparation techniques and feature engineering
• You know statistics, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms
• You enjoy research monitoring, reading research papers, and following SOTA models
• You can clearly explain technical topics to a non-expert audience
• You enjoy working in a team
• You're responsive, service-oriented, with good listening skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and stress management
• You're curious, autonomous, and proactive

Interview Process:

• 30-minute phone call with the recruitment team
• Take-home practical case study
• 1-hour Zoom meeting with the internship supervisor + 45-minute Zoom on our values
