Job Description:

Location : Aimargues, France

Segment : Royal Canin

Contract : permanent

This role defines the supply strategy for the Royal Canin Dry technology and ensures global capacity supply is aligned horizontally. This role is the Value Chain Operations (VCO) representative sitting in the Global Portfolio Management Review as a voice of supply for dry to coordinate and accelerate all the innovation pipeline. This role is as well the voice of supply for dry in the Global Technology Leadership Team (GTLT) for technical change projects and part of the solution from concept to project approval.

A high level of business acumen and analytical capabilities are needed for this role to raise opportunities and create/convey the link between demand and supply. From a leadership standpoint, the role is expected to act as independent and standalone thinker.

Regular travels are to be anticipated.

  • Master in Industrial Engineering and/or Business Management

  • 10/15 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain: Plant Manager, Regional IE, Technical department, Operations and/or Logistics

  • Fluent English

  • Develops the supply strategy for Dry Technology Globally and ensures global capacity supply is aligned horizontally with the support of Regional IEs

  • Coordinating the solutions for global capacity challenges (for example, responsibilities on how to grow capacity for a particular product in the upcoming years lies with this role)

  • Co-create with the support of the Regional IEs, all Network sourcing strategies (Regional & Global) to answer Business ambitions and X-regional sourcing activities for dry technology.

  • Has ownership across VCO functions on key Pet Nutrition + Royal Canin synergies activities from concept to approval

  • Acts as a voice of VCO for dry products in portfolio innovation forums (GPMR, prospective weeks) anticipating investment and technology needs and synchronizing with other functions. Efficiently support accelerated innovation by early & seamless alignment of global supply strategy with global portfolio and innovation bets.

  • Define for its Technology, industrial performance management at the service of Business shape ambition (e/g technologies EP and shape lenses)

  • Define MCC shape evolution ambition and goals to support business needs. Leading workstream to deliver ambition through leveraging synergies across sites / regions

  • Manages complex process initiatives with Regional IEs support, and has some oversight for 14 Dry plants in terms of strategy, performance management, CAB

  • Demonstrates forward looking visions with respect to Business strategy and solves long-term problems

  • Relies on business acumen and independent thinking/ standing alone to communicate across the organization, particularly upwards as the voice of supply for internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Demonstrates high level of leading without authority and indirect influencing with global and regional stakeholders

  • Has high analytical capabilities to work with the Regional leadership teams in finding the balance between current supply strategy and Regional needs (for example, this role ensures current supply capital investments and market needs for capital investment are aligned to deliver the best business proposition)

  • Creates the link between demand and supply to make compelling propositions and raise business opportunities

  • Makes recommendations through the deployment of reasonable solution sets

  • Works closely with Engineering and Regional IEs (IE develops the strategy and Engineering executes it from a supply perspective)  to ensure business results and goals can be delivered
