Tests Interface and Modeling engines on MSP Launcher

As part of the Main Engines and Propulsive System Team, the position “Tests Interface and Modeling engines on MSP Launcher” will consist in:

  • Performing Functional Analysis of the interface between launcher stages and their engines

    • Define the computations plan and analysis

    • Gather hypothesis, constraints and objectives of the studies

    • Run analysis

    • Make the synthesis, propose the way forward and contribute to the launcher design

  • Defining synchronized sequence and exploitation

    • Define with engine supplier the synchronized sequence and controls associated

    • Ensure convergence between architects and engines supplier of the CONOPS, monitoring parameters and minimum exploitation

  • Preparing and participating in MaiaSpace’s stages test campaigns  as engine focal point in close connection with engine supplier

    • Define tests objectives

    • Define control criteria and thresholds

    • Define tests sequence

    • Execute tests operations

    • Analyse tests results level 0 and 1

 

Working in tandem with the company's Fluid Propulsion experts, your day-to-day tasks will involve interfacing with the provider of the launcher’s main engine (ArianeGroup).

Requirements:

🎓 Qualification

  • Master degree or equivalent in engineering

  • > 3 years of professional experience in the field of propulsion, fluid systems, test engineering and/or engine and launcher system modeling.

  • Autonomous, proactive attitude towards resolution of problems and good at team working.

  • A good knowledge of cryogenic high thrust engines and cryogenic thermodynamics behavior, would be highly appreciated.

Date and working site

  • Working Site: Vernon, with frequent travels to La Défense Engineering facilities or La Defense with frequent travels to Vernon

  • Desired start date: May 2025

🎓 Qualification

  • Master degree or equivalent in engineering

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of propulsion, fluid systems, test engineering and/or launch operations.

  • Autonomous, proactive attitude towards resolution of problems and good at team working.

  • A good knowledge of ArianeGroup environment & ways of working, including test facilities organization and SSE requirements, would be highly appreciated.

Date and working site

  • Working Site: Vernon, with frequent travels to La Défense Engineering facilities.

  • Desired start date: January 2025
