About the Company

Look Up is a space safety company providing Space Situational Awareness (SSA) services to satellite operators. Our mission is to improve space traffic safety through advanced monitoring, risk analysis, and operational support for space missions.

Internship Context

Look Up has been selected as the Space Safety service provider for the IONSat mission, a CubeSat mission led by the Centre Spatial de l’École Polytechnique (CSEP), with launch planned for early 2027.

As part of this mission, Look Up is responsible for monitoring collision risks in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO), proposing avoidance manoeuvres when necessary, and executing them via the CSEP proprietary ground stations.

To be operational by Q3 2026, the mission requires the definition, development, and validation of end-to-end operational concepts and interfaces with the nominal mission control centre.

Internship Objectives

As part of the Space Systems Operations team, and under the supervision of the Space Operations Lead, the intern will:

  • Analyse operational needs for collision risk monitoring for the IONSat mission

  • Contribute to the definition of SSA operational workflows and system architecture

  • Support the development and implementation of operational interfaces and tools
