Marketing & Communications Assistant (UK)

The Marketing & Communication Assistant (UK) will report to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications and assist in the implementation of the Marketing & Communication strategy and in raising the profile of Longevity Partners, globally.

The role requires a ‘can-do’ attitude, the ability to wear multiple hats and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing:

  • Assist with the management of Longevity’s websites including content updates (using WordPress)
  • Frequently monitor analytics to measure and improve LP digital marketing activities by region/country
  • Write keyword-rich copy for the website to maximise SEO
  • Plan, create and edit high quality content to maintain an active social media presence across LinkedIn
  • Frequently monitor analytics to measure and improve LP digital marketing activities by region/country
  • Utilise tools such as SEO, CRM, video content, and Google Analytics to develop LP’s digital strategy and raise LP’s online profile

Visual content:

  • Manage our general presentations on PowerPoint to support the C-Suite and BD teams
  • Develop and manage our central bank of photography from our projects for our case studies
  • Assist on the creation of promotional videos
  • Support the global Business Development Team in the production of high-quality presentations and RFP responses (where a knowledge of InDesign would be useful)

Marketing & Communications:

  • Assist with the production of quarterly digital newsletters, weekly ESG/Sustainability news round-ups and LP prospectus/Reports
  • Maintain proof reading and strong attention to detail when working under pressure
  • Work with our partners and internal teams to develop a regular stream of stories that are promoted both internally and externally, via the press, the website, and our social media channels
  • Conduct research, monitoring and evaluation activities to track media, competitors and the marketing environment
  • Manage the production and print of marketing materials for target audience, by writing copy, selecting imagery, ensuring accuracy and media permissions
  • Support the Global Head of Marketing and Comms to deliver recruitment marketing when needed
  • Support the Global Head of Marketing and Comms in the creation of a database for our case studies
  • Keep LP general marketing presentations up to date for future clients’ pitches

Press & Media:

  • Alongside the Global Head of Marketing and Comms, develop strong working relationships with key local and national media contacts
  • Keep up to date with journalists’ moves and update contact details accordingly ahead of press releases
  • Develop a good understanding of the motivations and perspectives of key audiences
  • Support Global Head of Marketing and Communications in writing engaging and timely copy for press releases and website news stories and selecting imagery
  • At busy times, independently delivering press calls, distribute the press releases etc
  • Keep the marketing calendar updated with scheduled marketing, Awards and PR activities

Project management:

  • Contribute to marketing plans with new ideas, initiatives or areas for improvement
  • Prepare materials for meetings and take notes as required
  • Work with the Global Head of Marketing and Comms to deliver processes and guidelines for all marketing, communication and branding at LP
  • Be relied on to effectively manage marketing activity while the Global Head of Marketing and Comms is away

Event Management:

  • Project manage, with the support of the Global Head of Marketing and Communications, the logistics of external and internal (such as LP annual retreat, webinars, client symposiums), conferences and othermarketing events
  • Organise and host events on behalf of LP
  • Represent LP at events, conferences when required
  • Support at events with photography, social media, promotion
  • Manage the events calendar and ensure team members go to as many events as possible

General:

  • Be a ‘brand guardian’ to ensure consistency across all of LP’s internal and external communications
  • To contribute to any other aspects of marketing and communication management as required
  • To attend relevant internal and external meetings as required
  • To participate in annual performance appraisals and undertake relevant staff development
  • Always present a professional and positive image of LP
  • To carry out any other appropriate duties requested by the Global Head of Marketing and Comms

The successful individual will have:

  • Self-motivated and proactive skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects
  • An existing network of journalists or the skills needed to develop one rapidly
  • Strong work ethic
  • A desire to accept challenges
  • Excellent creative writing, press release writing, interpersonal and verbal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities to set goals and priorities
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices in social media and website management (WordPress)
  • ​Fluent English speaker, additional spoken or written languages are a plus
  • Skill in design, layout, and prepress activities, preferably in Adobe products (InDesign)
  • Preferably a degree in communications, media relations, public relations, or journalism
  • Specialist marketing platform experience e.g. HubSpot, Google Analytics (preferred)
