SUMMARY:
Inspects precision machined components and subassemblies for conformance to predetermined mechanical standards, specification and tolerances according to the company’s quality procedures, production drawings and industry standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following:

• Inspects semi finished components including, but not limited to, bolt blank stock, washers, internally and externally threaded fasteners, and raw material for conformance to customer specifications and production/manufacturing drawings

• Final inspection of close tolerance fasteners in accordance with company’s internal procedures and customer requirements.

• Maintains inspection reports and records inspection data on department approved forms.

• Able to use precision measuring equipment and perform detailed dimensional inspections as required.

• Coordinates inspection activities with the leads and employees in the area where work is being performed.

• Reads and comprehends blueprints.

• Responsible for scanning of paperwork, filing, data entry, and product certification as needed.

• Adheres and implements all company HSE policies, procedures, and practices.

• All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.

• All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.

• All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.

• Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

• Implements and suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as recycling opportunities and elimination of paper waste.

• Other duties assigned.

• Technical Skills – Technical skills in Quality Assurance and manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and inspection equipment; Good understanding of Geometric tolerance per ANSI Y145; Proficient in the use of Calipers, Micrometers, Height gages, ring gages, pin gages, go and no-go pin gages, optical comparator and microscopes; Reads and understands blueprints

This position has no supervisory duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• A minimum of 1 year of related experience in inspection; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software; Database systems

Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, licenses, registrations
Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR
