About the role

We are currently helping an investment management client with the deployment of their physical and virtual Linux servers based on the needs of the business teams, automation of deployments and support of the Development teams for building tools.

The successful candidates will:

  • Work across multiple data centers in Europe, Asia, and the Americas

  • Manage an infrastructure composed of several thousand Linux servers

  • Work on a large VMware vSphere infrastructure

  • Is skilled in enterprise storage solutions (Dell, EMC, Purestorage, etc.)

  • Manage several high-performance computing clusters (Slurm)

  • Interfere on a large technical area using: Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Git, Python, Bash, Nagios, Grafana.

  • Upgrade and migration of our core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, etc.). The company will migrate from RHEL 7 to 9.

  • Design and specification of our next-generation server platforms.

  • Develop and expand storage services to meet growing performance and capacity needs.

  • Extend and modernise the internal HPC infrastructure.

  • Maintain effective communication with new and existing external vendors on technical infrastructure topics.

  • Coordinate and communicate internally across teams to manage our projects, improvements or rollouts.

  • Build and support the infrastructure required by research, trading, and enterprise teams.

Location: This job is based in Paris, on a hybrid set-up (3 days onsite, 2 days at home).


Profil recherché

  • Linux / RHEL : deep expertise with GNU/Linux systems (administration, performance tuning, advanced troubleshooting).

  • Scripting & Tooling (Bash, Python 2 , Python 3) : ability to develop and maintain scripts and tools, for building open-source packages and automating recurring tasks.

  • Handle API refactoring.

  • Hardware & Servers : solid understanding of physical servers: firmware, hardware monitoring, test scripts, and automation of provisioning and lifecycle operations.

  • Core Infrastructure Services : deep knowledge of foundational infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, TFTP, PXE, LDAP).

  • Infrastructure as Code / Automation: strong belief in automation and reproducibility with experience with tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform. Ability to model infrastructure as code, industrialise it, and document it properly.
