We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Development, Electronics Engineering to lead the development and implementation of advanced electronic development across our product portfolio. This role is critical in bridging electronic innovation with engineering execution, ensuring that our products deliver exceptional sound performance and meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Reporting to the Director of Development, Electronics, you will manage a team of 8 electronics engineers and technicians and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of cutting-edge audio systems. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute the electronics engineering development strategy in alignment with the company’s goals.
- Participate with Directors on developing a clear roadmap for professional audio electronics system development, including key milestones, deliverables, and resource planning.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance on electronics design, components technology and design to cost
- Support occasional advanced customer troubleshooting
- Ensure engineering solutions meet performance, manufacturability, and standards compliance (LVD, EMC) across all product lines.
- Ideally experienced in professional audio product design
- Team Management:
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of electronics engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation, technical rigor, and collaboration.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and career development to build long-term team capability.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with other R&D departments: acoustics, mechanics to ensure system level performance consistency
- Partner with product management to translate user needs into technical specifications.
- Partner with industry to ensure manufacturability, testability and reliability.
- Cross-functional Leadership:
- Collaborate with leaders from other departments to ensure a holistic approach to research and development, fostering synergies between acoustics, software and electronics engineering within the organization.
What you will need to be successful
- Master’s degree in electronics engineering,
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electronics engineering and product development
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Strong expertise in electronics hardware design
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
- A passion for sound and a commitment to engineering excellence
- Very good spoken/written English
