We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.

It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

We’re looking for a PeopleOps Lead to join our team and support our amazing people across Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. In this role, you’ll be key to managers and leaders across the region - helping them build strong teams, supporting growth and development, and ensuring we’re delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, perfect for someone who’s excited about shaping the future of work across diverse geographies and cultures. You’ll work closely with our global PeopleOps team and local leaders to make sure our people feel supported, empowered, and connected - no matter where they are.

What you’ll be doing

💡 Enabling our People

- Provide managers with tools, resources, and support to lead their teams with confidence.

- Help teams navigate performance conversations, growth opportunities, and (when needed) tough decisions or uncomfortable topics - always with empathy and fairness.

- Work closely with our global career development and performance frameworks to ensure they apply and are utilised in a local context.

🌏 Leading Mobility and Cross-Team Movement

- Make sure employees have a great experience when relocating, going on secondments, or moving between teams and countries.

- Act as the go-to facilitator for mobility questions and cross-border coordination in APAC.

🎯 Driving People Strategy

- Work with global PeopleOps, and leaders in the region, to prioritise and roll out PeopleOps initiatives.

Use data, insights, and feedback to shape our approach to performance, engagement, and team development.

🧭 Coaching and Team Design

- Coach leaders through team changes, organisational planning, and leadership challenges.

- Support mediation and conflict resolution when needed - always with an eye toward building stronger, healthier teams.

- Work with the L&D team to identify and shape learning programs based on what you’re seeing in the field.

❤️ Championing Culture & Wellbeing

- Keep a close eye on wellbeing, engagement, and team health in the region - and take action where needed through our managers and leaders.

- Help us build inclusive, people-first practices that reflect the needs and cultures, while staying aligned with our global values.

- Lead or support initiatives that build belonging and bring our culture to life across remote and hybrid teams.

🛠️ Jumping Into Strategic Projects

- Get involved in global PeopleOps initiatives that impact the business and our people experience.

- Support integration efforts when new teams or businesses join us.

- Help represent our brand in external people-focused events or partnerships in the region.

You’ll thrive in this role if you...

  • Have experience as a senior in the People space, with a strong focus on the APAC region (especially Australia, New Zealand).
  • Know how to balance strategic thinking with getting things done.
  • Have strong knowledge of employment practices and labor laws in Australia and NewZealand - experience of the same within Japan is preferable.
  • Are a strong communicator - regularly working with, reporting to, and updating others in the People and Capability team across the globe.
  • Are a great coach, listener, and problem-solver - especially when things get tricky.
  • Love building strong relationships and working across cultures and time zones.
  • Are comfortable in a fast-paced, remote-first environment and enjoy working with autonomy.
  • Why you’ll love working here

  • Impact from day one: Your work will shape the experience of our teams across three dynamic markets.
