We are looking for an experienced and dedicated UK & European Payroll Advisor to join our Payroll Team to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payrolls across our UK and European entities. Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be a key point of contact for employees and external payroll providers, guaranteeing a seamless payroll operation.

What you'll do:

  • Support the end-to-end payroll process for UK payroll, including salary calculations, statutory payments, payroll deductions and all company pension scheme requirements,
  • Serve as the main point of contact for external payroll providers across different European countries, ensuring payroll data is submitted and processed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local payroll legislation, tax regulations, social security contributions, and internal company policies for each country.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of new starters, leavers, salary changes, and benefits administration.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries, providing clear and professional guidance to employees, building strong internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Assist with any ad-hoc payroll projects, including system implementations or process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in UK and European payroll legislation and best practices, proactively communicating any impacts.
  • What you'll need:

  • Proven experience working in a UK and multi-country European payroll environment is essential.
  • Strong, in depth understanding of all UK payroll legislation and tax regulations with exposure to other European payroll regulations.
  • Experience in liaising with external payroll providers across different jurisdictions.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and strong Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively to meet tight deadlines.
