Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.

We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.

It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

The Global Client Value team operates as a hybrid of strategy, analytics, and client engagement. It brings together a mix of commercial, analytical, and operational expertise to ensure that the value Kraken delivers to clients is both measurable and meaningful. The team is composed of three core functions that work in close partnership.

Our Client Value Leads partner directly with clients and internal teams to identify, frame, and quantify value levers. They translate operational and financial improvements into business impact, producing baselining frameworks, benefit quantification models, and executive narratives. Together, the team combines data science, business acumen, and storytelling to create a single, evidence-based narrative of the value Kraken delivers to each client.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients, prospects, advisors, and consultants to turn North American utility pain points into clear, quantified value enabled by Kraken.
  • Build tailored client value propositions and business cases that reflect each prospect’s operations, financials, market, and regulatory environment. The aim isn’t just numbers on a page, but a balanced story that shows both the hard financial benefits and the wider impact Kraken can unlock for customers, teams, and long-term growth.
  • Translate success data from Kraken’s non-regulated retail supply clients into relevant value propositions for regulated utility client prospects.
  • Own the quantification of market relevant value propositions across all of Kraken solutions including Customer, Customer Flex, Generation Flex, and Field. Be prepared to include in any prospect value case any or all of these value streams. Partner with Product Marketing to generate differentiated, evidence-based value cases
  • Quantify benefits delivered by adapting the global value framework to North American market dynamics. Establish credible “pre-Kraken” baselines and clearly evidence improvements in operational efficiency, customer outcomes, and innovation following platform implementation.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and growth beyond IT cost savings and operational efficiency-including new revenue streams, flexibility services, product diversification, and customer-centric propositions that can succeed within regulated markets.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Regulatory, Delivery teams, and Client Success, ensuring client value cases are compelling, consistent, and tailored to each client. Manage alignment with Sales teams, supporting them in articulating Kraken’s value proposition credibly and consistently to client prospects and existing clients.
  • Help drive the continued improvement and excellence of the Global Client Value team, helping to refine frameworks, share best practices, and embed a value-focused mindset across Kraken. Develop reusable assets-such as templates, benchmarks, and proof points tailored to North American utilities.
  • Be a cultural ambassador for Kraken in North America-embodying our DNA of curiosity, pragmatism, and collaboration, and helping to preserve the unique ways of working that define Kraken.
  • Desired Skillset

  • North American utility business case experience: Demonstrated track record in developing technology business cases for investor-owned utilities. ideally gained while working within a North American utility or directly supporting one. Experience building business cases for large IT investments and guiding them through executive and board approval processes.
  • Utility regulation literacy: Deep understanding of North American utility regulatory frameworks (incentive designs, business case formats/precedent, etc.) and experience navigating public filings to locate primary source data.
  • Analytical & curious: Comfortable working with incomplete or messy data, making informed assumptions, and extrapolating insights into compelling commercial narratives. You enjoy digging into the details but always tie it back to impact.
  • Strong communicator & collaborator: Able to engage credibly with finance, operations, IT, regulatory, and executive stakeholders. Skilled in aligning cross-functional teams, including managing alignment with Sales, to maintain a collective focus on outcomes.
  • Pragmatic problem-solver: Outcome-driven, resourceful, and proactive in driving progress despite ambiguity. You don’t wait for perfect information; you take initiative, figure things out, and keep moving.
  • Kraken's Culture: Naturally aligned with Kraken’s way of working - curious, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and comfortable with autonomy. Able to thrive remotely while preserving and embodying Kraken’s cultural DNA and ways of working.
