Within a team of 9 software developers, you’ll be mentored by one of our Senior Backend Engineers. We’re looking for a highly motivated Junior Back-end Engineer at Kiln.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

1) Building the product: You’ll be working closely with the Product and Infrastructure teams to plan, architect, and implement our core product. You’ll take part in the construction of the roadmap, with the rest of the team. In this role, it includes:

• Development of data aggregators for blockchains

• Development of new Golang micro-services within the Kiln stack

• Taking part in automation & deployment processes

2) Helping grow the Team: Everyone on the early team plays an important role in referring and attracting new Kilners

Our stack

• Mostly in Golang with a bit of Javascript and Typescript

• Communication between services is done using HTTP Rest and most of our databases are backed by PostgreSQL

• Everything runs in EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) on AWS

Skills & Background

• Fluent communicant both in French & English

• Strong crypto & blockchain believer

  • You must show either a side-project related to the industry

  • Either a strong interest with deep research

• An experience in a backend programming language

  • Ideally Golang

  • We are open to juniors experienced in Java, C++, Rust, etc.

• Curious and able to dig into a topic and follow through

• Team spirit: Open to discussion rather than imposing views

• Reliable with good time management and clear communication

• Self-starter with a genuine interest in problem-solving
