Who are they?
Created in June 2018, Ganymed Robotics ambitions to revolutionize the standard of care in Orthopedic surgery.
Ganymed develops a revolutionary active therapeutic device to assist surgeons during knee replacement surgery. Working in close collaboration with high-volume orthopedic surgeons, researchers, entrepreneurs in Computer-Assisted Surgery and Robotics, the company has filed several patents and has been awarded numerous international and national prices, such as the I-LAB contest.
With a truly innovative user-centered design and novel algorithms to perceive and extract knowledge from the surgical scene in a non-invasive manner, Ganymed improves patient outcome and surgeon experience.
We are seeking for an experienced vision engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in R&D support, verification & validation of our systems. You’ll work in a technical team of 35 people with specialties in robotics, vision, hardware and software.
Support R&D activities within vision team:
Participate to evaluation and improvements of the existing features
Participate to proof of concept of new technical features (specifications prototyping and evaluation)
Investigate on technical problems: participate to problem solving and troubleshooting
Write and maintain technical documentation
Create and communicate progress reports
Plan and execute technical activities
Perform technical & scientific watch
Ability to communicate
Ability to structure and present technical results
Master’s degree in Computer Vision, computer science, applied mathematics or related technical fields
2 years of experience in a similar position
Knowledge on mathematical concepts used in 3D computer vision : Linear Algebra, 3D geometry, Numerical Optimization.
C++ programming skills and, experience with vision libs (opencv, open3D). Experience with python is a plus
Knowledge of mathematical problem modeling and solving, experience with optimisation library is a plus (ceres, g2o)
Experience in the implementation of image processing and/or computer vision algorithms. Experience in the implementation of GUI. Experience with a code versioning tool (git).
Capability to present technical results to the rest of the team.
Capability to challenge proposed solutions and ideas with the team
Interest in research and capacity to extract useful information from scientific papers
