Job Overview
In the context of this project, we are looking for a Cloud Development Engineer to join our Cloud Development and Innovation Team, composed of four passionate engineers.
This team plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Sunstice’s cloud-based systems, while continuously innovating through automation and modern infrastructure practices to enhance and modernize legacy platforms.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cloud Development Engineer, you will actively contribute to the design, development, and operation of our cloud infrastructure. Your missions will include:
Designing, developing, and evolving Kubernetes-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud environments, primarily on AWS.
Managing and operating database clusters, including: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Apache Doris
Monitoring platforms and applications using Grafana, defining relevant metrics, dashboards, and alerts to ensure system reliability and performance.
Deploying applications and services to the cloud, following CI/CD and GitOps best practices (e.g., Argo CD).
Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents, and driving continuous improvement.
Ensuring data security, high availability, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Collaborating closely with developers, architects, and consultants to design end-to-end cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
Contributing to automation initiatives, including API-driven and event-driven architectures, to improve operational efficiency.
Providing technical support and recommendations based on internal and client requirements.

What You Will Bring to Sunstice
Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Degree in Computer Science or a related field
First relevant professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering (required)
General knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP…)
Solid foundations in: operating systems (Windows), computing, networking, and storage, databases
Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, team spirit, and the ability to prioritize and move forward in a fast-paced environment
