Job description

The MD’s mission is to serve as enabler and visionary to build FairMoney as the first-choice mobile financial service provider in the country.

Acting as our MD you will be responsible for all operations (Customer Acquisition/ Marketing, Recollection, Customer Service, Finance) and the execution of strategic projects while managing and growing the team.

💻 We are waiting for you to work on :

  • Building the strategy of how to move FairMoney to becoming one of the largest Nigerian financial service providers,
  • Managing, monitoring and steering operations (Customer Service, Collections and Marketing),
  • Managing complex and strategic projects (acquisition, partnerships, integrations, etc.),
  • Managing the office & people (people management, office management),
  • Seting up new functions if/when required,
  • Being the face of the company in Nigeria.

Preferred experience

🤝 What we prefer you to come with :

  • You should have no less than 8 years of relevant experience in operational, finance and strategic functions. (Very strong background from top tier firms);
  • You should have acquired at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in the banking sector;
  • You should have a minimum of a first degree or its equivalent in any discipline (additional qualification in any business-related discipline would be an advantage);
  • You must have evidence that the you possess proven skills and competences in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN);
  • You should have previous experience in tech startups and a solid understanding of the Nigerian fintech market;
  • You should have a strong understanding of data - and have good command of Excel + PPT;
  • You should have already led large teams of various profiles and dealt with people issues;
  • You should know very well the Nigerian market (you live/ have lived in the country);
  • You should have very strong project management skills that you have proven previously in high pressure environments, executing flawlessly.
