Doctolib is looking for a Data Science Manager to help our teams deliver an outstanding user experience and grow our base of 150,000 healthcare professionals who use Doctolib every day and 70 million Europeans who visit our sites every month.

The Data Science team is currently organised in two parts:

• Delivery: data scientists collaborating with product/business teams to understand their needs, design and deliver the best data science models and solutions.
• Scaling: ML and software engineers setting up processes and tools in order to allow data scientists to put their models effortlessly into production and to scale data science across Doctolib.

Important point at Doctolib : the data is entirely encrypted and anonymized.

Your mission

On a daily basis, you will be required to :

• Lead a squad of exceptional data scientists within the Delivery team, delivering cutting edge health solutions and solving complex business problems
• Partner with Business, Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, design the roadmap, influence decision making and deliver on our targets
• Be a technical leader from R&D/prototyping all the way through to production
• Be an advocate for data science across the organisation and support our global data science strategy 
• Recruit, coach and mentor your team of data scientists

• Our code is written in Python
• Our servers live in AWS, and we use Sagemaker, Step Functions, Lambda, Redshift daily
• Our infrastructure is terraformed

Your skills

You could be our next teammate if:

• You have 3+ years experience managing and building a team of data scientists
• You have 8+ years proven experience delivering data science projects into production
• You have a higher education / engineering school degree with a major in statistics / data science
• You master Python / SQL / Shell Scripting
• You have a significant experience in Machine Learning
• Skilled at working with software engineers and data engineers
• You have an excellent sense of results and respect for delivery deadlines
• You have a keen understanding of business issues and you know how to render complex results simply
• You are fluent in English
• You have a good team spirit
• You are curious and enjoy learning new skills and taking on new challenges
• You are well organised and have a strong sense of initiative

Now, it would be fantastic if:

• You are a subject matter expert in NLP, Speech to Text, experimentation and/or causal inference 
• You have experience in real
  -time and streaming applications
• You have experience in deploying models client
  -side with frameworks like TensorFlow.js
• You are familiar with the AWS stack
