Deezer became a listed company in 2022. We are looking for a strong Senior Tax Specialist with prior corporate tax experience to define and drive the tax department strategy and implement the necessary processes to upscale the function in the context of the finance function transformation. 

You will be part of the finance department working transversally with most of the divisions at Deezer, reporting directly to the Group's Accounting Director.

What you will do:

• Contribute to the definition and implement tax function strategy

• Participate in the finance transformation project

• Suggest and develop new policies and procedures for improving the collection of tax information from relevant departments in order to allow for transparency, efficiency, and scalability with a focus on controls

• Liaise with internal and external auditors to manage various audit requirements

• Ensure that corporate tax-return preparation meets all regulatory requirements

• Review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with local statutes and regulations

• Remain up to date with changes in the tax code and accounting laws

• Carefully monitor local rules applicable to electronically supplied services and implement adequate actions

This role is excellent for a person with:

• 5+ years experience in corporate tax (ideally a mix of advisory and corporate tax experience) with knowledge in international tax and appetite for VAT matters

• Interested in intellectual property and electronically supplied services tax specificities

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication / transversal skills

• Extensive knowledge of accounting methods, tax laws, and audits

• Sharp attention to detail

• Listed company experience and good accounting knowledge  is a plus
