How often do you have the chance to build a new product from scratch? At Deezer, it will be your day-to-day job!
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join the Innovation division. Your mission will be to develop backends and APIs for new mobile applications which differentiate us, are compelling to the market and align with our strategic direction.
What you will do
Write and maintain high quality, tested and scalable code, and participate in code reviews
Work closely with the Product Managers and the Product Designers to understand the product requirements and needs.
Anticipate future application scaling needs and the corresponding architectural adaptations along with the Mobile and Backend developers.
Participate in continuous improvement to help the team grow and be successful, with innovative solutions and tools
Share your knowledge with your teammates and with Deezer Engineering teams at large.
Work with the team’s QA Engineer to help ensure a smooth review and testing flow for the team.
Participate in the Scrum events and processes (daily, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospective, demo).

What we are looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience building and maintaining backend applications in production.
Strong engineering skills (CI/CD, code versioning, tests, code reviews, etc.).
Value-driven with an iterative approach, open to continuous enrichment.

Team oriented: friendly and constructive communication
Problem-solver, rigorous and enthusiastic.
Good spoken and written English.
