Convelio is a licensed freight forwarding startup evolving at the intersection of Tech, Logistics and the Art World. The startup specialises in the global shipping of high-end goods: paintings, sculptures, basically any valuable or bulky merchandise.

Convelio developed its own proprietary algorithm to offer competitive real-time shipping quotes and an end-to-end logistics service to the art market. Their mission is to become a tech-driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible for any business across the world by providing an online and seamless experience.

🎩 Your Role

We are looking for a high energy, results-driven, team-oriented HR Generalist to join our rapidly growing HR Team!

In this role, you will have the great challenge of managing our HR Operations in France including onboarding and offboarding, recruitment, payroll, legal requirements, management of different projects, and acting as the first point of contact for employees’ and managers’ questions.

You will have the opportunity to work on many different types of HR matters and have plenty of leeway to suggest new ideas, processes and projects ! You will be in contact with people in different teams, coming from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

It is a fast-paced role that fits high energy and agile people who like challenges. Organisation and proactivity are key elements in this role.

This is a full time job based in Paris, start date asap.

You will work inside the HR Team and report to our Global Head of HR based in Paris, France, and work very closely with the rest of the HR team: our HR Generalist & Office Manager for France, our 3 Recruiters recruiting for roles all over the world, and our soon-to-join us Global L&D Specialist.

✏️ What you’ll do

  • Organise our onboarding processes for newcomers in France and manage employee files (HRIS, on/offboarding…) during their time at Convelio
  • Coordinate recruitment processes : design job descriptions, publish them on relevant jobboards and lead interviews, while making sure all candidates have a great candidate experience, by being reactive, clear and ensuring a good follow-up
  • Manage our French payroll with our payroll provider, and administer compensation, benefit plans and leaves
  • Manage different legal & admin topics (company policies, health&safety…), and work on regulatory compliance in the country
  • Work on reportings and track HR metrics to make better decisions using data
  • Be the first point of contact for employees’ HR questions
  • Be a Convelio ambassador to spread the company culture internally and externally
  • Launch well-being initiatives, organise team building activities and company events
  • Contribute to our remote work culture and launch initiatives for cross-country collaboration
  • Ensure the smooth running of our physical Paris office (coordinate office equipment, maintain office policies, stay up to date on Covid-19 guidelines…)
  • Work on many different HR projects (compensation, well-being, performance, mobility, knowledge sharing…), along with your HR colleagues all over the world.

Preferred experience

  • You have a first experience in an HR Generalist/HRBP role including experience in Recruiting
  • You have a good knowledge of French employment law and legal requirements
  • You are perfectly fluent in French & English, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You’re proficient with Microsoft Suite & HR Information Systems (Recruiting, Employee data, Reports, etc.)
  • You are comfortable working with Managers, and you are able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • You are positive, curious, self-motivated and hands-on
  • You are an excellent learner and you have the desire to adapt to new concepts and technologies
  • You are detail-oriented, you have strong organizational skills, and you are disciplined in daily activity planning. You know how to follow-through and push a project to completion.
  • You enjoy working in a challenging fast-paced, target-driven and team-oriented environment. You’re comfortable with shifting priorities and eager to manage different projects.
