We are recruiting an Account Executive - DACH 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇨🇭

BuyCo is experiencing rapid growth, particularly in the North Europe region.
But in that wild ocean transportation world, a geographic area still resists us: the DACH region.
To support this momentum and take it to the next level, we are looking to hire our new Account Executive, focused on the Deutschland, Austria, and Confédération Helvétique area and you will become a member of our Sales Team.

You will be in touch with other teams as well: Business Development (BDRs), Customer Onboarding & Customer Success mainly.

You will report directly to Benoit, Chief Sales Officer, based in Paris.

What you will do on a daily basis:

Sign new logos:

  • Identify, prospect, and engage Enterprise Shippers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with a strong hunting mindset.

  • Run structured discovery processes with multiple stakeholders (Supply Chain, IT, Procurement, Operations, C-level) to understand pains, build business cases, and qualify projects.

  • Lead the full sales cycle from outreach to negotiation and closing, managing complex deals with long decision cycles and several internal/external decision-makers.

  • Deliver high-quality product demonstrations with the support of our Solution Engineer when needed, showcasing the operational and ROI impact of BuyCo.

    Nurture a Sales pipeline:

  • Follow identified accounts and develop tailored account strategies to move each opportunity forward.

  • Maintain a rigorous forecasting discipline, ensuring visibility on deal progression and blockers.

  • Collaborate closely with BDRs for targeted account-based plans and outbound initiatives in the DACH region.

  • Work hand-in-hand with our Solution Engineer and Onboarding teams to ensure a smooth handover and future customer satisfaction.

    Build a strong footprint in the DACH region

  • Build, map, and constantly enrich your territory plan: identify local BCOs, strategic sectors, and high-potential accounts.

  • Represent BuyCo at industry events, fairs, and conferences in the region, becoming a recognizable expert in maritime logistics digitalization.

  • Partner with marketing to adapt messaging and content to the specific needs and expectations of the DACH market.

  • Act as the internal voice of the region, sharing insights on competition, trends, and customer feedback.

Your path at BuyCo :

We imagine (ideally) a journey like this one :

- 3 months after your arrival: Your onboarding in France is completed. You fully understand BuyCo’s product, value proposition, buyer personas, and internal processes.
You’ve developed your territory plan, started engaging targeted accounts, and opened your first qualified opportunities.

- 6 months after your arrival: Your pipeline is solid and healthy.
Several opportunities are in advanced stages thanks to strong discovery, structured deal control, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
You may already have signed your first deal, or are very close to it.

- 1 year after your arrival: You’ve reached your cruising speed and established BuyCo’s presence in the DACH region.
You’ve built a predictable pipeline, achieved your sales target, and developed long-term relationships with strategic accounts.
You are contributing directly to BuyCo’s growth acceleration in one of Europe’s most strategic markets.

The profile we are looking for:

  • Your are fluent in both German & English 🇩🇪🇬🇧

  • You have a thorough understanding and comprehensive overview of what a major B2B DACH account entails in terms of logistics, thanks to your experience as a Sales / Account Executive.

  • You have a good track record of hunting / signing new logos, with long Sales cycles.

  • You know how to navigate complex companies (Operations, Procurement, C-levels, Legal, IT).

  • You possess a certain degree of situational intelligence and know how to adapt to different interlocutors and contexts with autonomy.

  • You are a team player, with good communication skills and reflex.

  • You are comfortable working remotely and asynchronously.

Your profile will be 😍 if:

  • You already have experience in Sales at a TMS, SaaS solution or Ocean Transportation related company (FF, Shipper).

  • You are an expert in the ocean transport industry.

  • You speak another language such as French 🇫🇷 or Dutch 🇳🇱​

Compensation, location & remote

  • Compensation: Monthly fixed gross salary between 58k and 72k. And an attractive variable part: 10% of the value of the contract you sell Y1 uncapped.

  • Location: Germany. With trips to the Paris office and business fairs to attend. If you are interested in a relocation to France it’s possible as well.

  • Remote policy : full remote, you will work from home every day (unless you move to Paris or Marseille 👀).


Déroulement des entretiens

Step 1️⃣: Screen interview with Cyril, Talent Acquisition Manager (30min). We will check all basic infos and you will have more information about BuyCo.

Step 2️⃣: Discovery interview. On a practical case study with Benoit, Chief Sales Officer and Antoine, VP Sales (1 hour 30 minutes).
Nothing to prepare here!

Step 3️⃣: Culture fit interview with Annie, VP People (30min).

Step 4️⃣: Team discussion with Ana, Solution Engineer & Arthur, Senior Business Development Representative for North Europe.
