It all started with an idea in 2021. Initially built to democratize Bitcoin in France, Bitstack has gone from a simple product that invests spare change in bitcoin, to a crypto-native bank bringing a better way to save, spend, and grow money to our 300K+ users. We want to rebuild finance from the ground up to empower people to achieve financial freedom by participating in a more open and inclusive financial system. We’re a small, ambitious team of operators. We believe in moving fast, sweating the details, and creating products people truly love. At Bitstack, you’ll have the opportunity to shape not just our products, but the culture and practices of our entire organization. Bitstack is backed by YC, leading VCs like 13books Capital, Stillmark, Serena, and many more. We are building a product our users love and we are just getting started!
We're hiring our first Data Analyst to build the data foundation that powers Bitstack’s growth. You will be the go-to partner for Product, Operations, Compliance, and Finance, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive strategy.
This is a high-impact, greenfield role. You won’t just be running queries; you will define how data is discovered, consumed, and trusted at Bitstack. You will set up our data modeling practices, democratize access to insights, and help every team make smarter decisions, from optimizing our fraud detection logic to improving our user activation funnels.
Build the single source of truth: Own and maintain our core data models (using SQL/dbt) to ensure consistent definitions for key metrics like ARR, CAC, and retention across the company.
Empower the team with self-serve analytics: Maintain and expand our Metabase instance, creating easy-to-use dashboards that allow Product, Ops, and Finance to find their own answers.
Support key business decisions: Partner with Product to analyze feature usage and activation funnels (e.g., Savings Plans, Card usage), and work with Compliance to monitor fraud patterns and risk exposure.
Improve Data Discovery: Implement tools and practices that make it easy for anyone at Bitstack to find the right data without having to ask "where is this column?".
Deep-dive analysis: Conduct ad-hoc exploratory analysis to uncover growth opportunities, diagnose churn, or understand user behaviors that aren't visible in standard reports.
Drive data culture: Educate the team on data best practices and help stakeholders translate vague business questions into precise data requirements.
You don’t need to know everything—but experience with the modern data stack is essential:
Languages: SQL (Expert - you can write performant queries in your sleep), Python (Strong plus for deeper analysis/scripting).
Warehousing & Database: Experience with BigQuery (highly valued) or modern warehouses like Snowflake/Clickhouse.
Visualization: Metabase, Looker, or similar BI tools.
Transformation & Modeling: dbt (Strongly valued for setting up data discovery and clean models).
Product Analytics: Experience with tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel.
Founding data mindset: You are comfortable operating with autonomy in an environment where not everything is set up yet. You enjoy building the tracks while driving the train.
Business-first thinking: You understand that a perfect query is useless if it doesn’t solve the business problem. You can translate "why are sales down?" into a concrete analysis.
Strong communication: You can explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in Compliance, Finance, or Design without jargon.
Analytical rigor: You know the difference between correlation and causation and can spot when data "looks wrong."
Full-stack analyst: You are comfortable touching everything from the raw database tables (ETL/ELT) to the final dashboard presentation.
Fluent English (French is a bonus).
