Attached to the Head of Operational Excellence, we are looking for a Platform Software Engineer to join our platform team! We are looking for an experienced junior Platform Software Engineer with great potential. 
 
Operational Excellence (OpEX) in Cloud Operations is an approach that focuses on optimizing processes and systems within an organization to improve productivity, performance, and efficiency. It involves continuous assessment, refinement, and implementation of practices to drive consistent operational success. To enable autonomy and self-service for the teams and avoid fragmentation, we have adopted a product approach to our platform and offer products designed to meet the diverse needs of our internal engineering teams. 

You will join the development team responsible for our Internal Developer Portal, based on Spotify Backstage (https://backstage.io/). This portal, fundamental to our software development strategy, serves as a hub for our development operations and internal tech processes. 

As part of this effort, we are looking for a Platform Software Engineer (Apprenticeship) to join our team and contribute to the development of this platform, as well as future products that will shape the developer experience. 

 
Mission :

Development: 

  • Develop and maintain the portal using Node.js and the ExpressJS framework. 

  • Write responsive and high-performance front-end components in React for our portal plugins. 

  • Perform migrations and maintenance of the PostgreSQL database. 

  • Integrate and optimize search functionalities. 

  • Apply best practices for testing, linting, and code documentation. 

  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to understand and integrate user needs into development.

Profil recherché

Experience: 

  • Currently pursuing an engineering degree (Bac +4/5) or a master’s in computer science. 

  • A first experience in web development (internship, personal projects, or academic work) is a plus. 

Required Skills: 

  • Familiarity with Node.js, ideally with a framework like Express.js. 

  • Knowledge of front-end development, particularly React or similar frameworks. 

  • Basic understanding of database management, especially PostgreSQL. 

  • Awareness of Docker and containerized environments (a plus). 

  • Understanding of testing principles and development best practices.
