Your Impact

As an Enterprise Architect, your mission is to translate Basware’s business strategy and transformation goals into a technology landscape that is modern, secure, interoperable and enterprise-scale. You will define and enforce the architectural principles, cloud-first strategies and platform-centric models that keep our solutions landscape efficient, agile and future proof. Partnering closely with product, business and IT teams, you will shape solution, data and infrastructure designs that balance innovation, risk and time-to-market. This role suits an architect with roughly five years of enterprise-architecture experience who is ready to broaden their impact across the entire organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and visualise Basware’s current- and target-state capabilities, maintaining the supporting application landscape, technology stack and capability models to identify gaps and opportunities
• Co-create and continuously refine an actionable enterprise-architecture roadmap that sequences transition initiatives and desired future state
• Assess commercial and open-source software, SaaS and cloud services against Basware’s functional, compliance, security and other requirements
• Produce end-to-end reference architectures covering application, data, integration, infrastructure and security layers
• Ensure designs follow enterprise standards, data-governance policies and non-functional requirements
• Champion architecture guardrails, design patterns and documentation quality
• Identify risks related to technology obsolescence, vendor lock-in, and security vulnerabilities.
• Facilitate and Guide Architecture Review Boards and design-decision process

• 5 + years in enterprise or solution architecture, designing and governing complex, distributed systems in a global environment
• Solid working knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SAFe and modelling
• In-depth knowledge of key architecture domains: infrastructure, integration, application, security architecture
• Ability to engage with business leaders, IT and cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
• Strong analytical mindset to analyse architectural challenges on various levels
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence IT & business teams
• Vendor engagement exposure, including evaluating proposals and supporting commercial negotiations
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Have a high level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters
• Have energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Be results-driven and able to prioritize efficiently
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field

Desired (Nice-to-Have)

• Hands-on cloud-native application architecture –Experience designing, building and operating multi-cloud scalable solutions
