We are looking for a Junior Search Engine Optimisation Consultant to join our growing SEO team at Artefact. You will be responsible for improving the visibility of our clients’ websites in the search engines and increasing the organic traffic to them. You will have day to day contact with our SEO clients, supporting them in implementing recommendations provided by us to their development teams. You will create, assist and support our senior SEO consultants in producing technical analysis, content strategies and link landscape report deliverables for our clients websites.On-page and off-page content optimisations that are relevant to the search engines, namely Google is also required. Copywriting skills would be advantageous in this role.

The understanding of and experience in link building is required. These activities within our specific SEO client verticals is beneficial. You are familiar with and have experience in planning and implementing digital PR campaigns and outreach. Experience in creating campaign concepts and outreach strategies on a high level is favourable.
Good written and verbal communication is essential. You are required to keep up to date with the latest SEO news and trends impacting the Industry. You may also be required to update the larger digital teams and inform our clients of these SEO changes and the newest SEO industry insights.

Who are you?

• 1 to 2 year experience as a SEO specialist or a background in content writing studies (communication / journalism) and eager to learn.
• Working ability at the higher professional education level (HBO) or higher (WO)
• Experience or knowledge in content and SEO copywriting skills.
• Experience in CMS and website content management and writing
• Experience in SEO Tools is a big plus but not essential (Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush etc)
• Creative, entrepreneurial, process focused and eager to learn new things
• Basic understanding of website measurement in Google Analytics 
• Skills in spreadsheets (Excel/sheets) and creating presentations
• Ability to work 32 hour a week or full time
• Fluency in Dutch and English
