Artefact Benelux in Utrecht is looking for an ambitious Junior AI Engineering Consultant to strengthen our Data Engineering team.

About the Role

As a Junior AI Engineering Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing robust solutions that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic architectures to solve real-world problems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Writing clean, readable, and reusable code while selecting the right technologies and coding methodologies based on business needs and tools.
• Integrating LLMs into broader systems using tools such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks, ensuring alignment with user intents and business objectives.
• Collaborating with consultants, data scientists, analysts, and engineers to identify client needs and design end-to-end data solutions that drive business value.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with stakeholders to align on project goals and expectations.
• Continuously refining your expertise and staying up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, foundation models, and the evolving LLM ecosystem.

What We Are Looking For

We’re seeking someone who has:

• Fluency in English (mandatory); Dutch or French is a plus.
• A Master's degree in a technical field quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science).
• Excellent Python programming skills with a focus on production-grade code.
• Strong experience with SQL, pipelines, and databases.
• Familiarity with ML Ops and deploying models to production environments and leveraging GenAI to build product features or streamline development processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, Databricks, or AWS (Professional Certification is a plus).
• Great communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• A deep understanding of modern AI frameworks.
