The purchasing function at Akiem is strategic with more than 200 million of euros of OPEX and CAPEX in 2022.
The performance of the strategic purchasing function is a key component of the quality and performance Akiem delivers to its customers.

The Strategic buyer supports the Business Units all around Europe (mainly in Germany, France, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, Italy).

The main missions are the following:

- Manage the Purchasing activities for all locomotive modification projects
drafting of specifications, managing calls for tender, negotiating, contracting and monitoring contracts

- Define the purchasing strategy for locomotive parking and Mapping the needs and challenges, define a strategic supplier panel, negotiate and implementation framework contracts

- Define the purchasing strategy for locomotive towing and implementation of framework contracts.

- Manage the purchase of intellectual services and the contractual monitoring of one of the french Maintenance BU's strategic supplier as part of its heavy maintenance program

- He/she mays also have to deploy our Group CSR and Responsible Purchasing approach incl. Ecovadis, Provigis platforms and supplier code of business conduct

Master degree in Purchasing. Minimum 5 years of experience.

Fluent in English or French.
