Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Airbus flyable materials Procurement Manager

 (f/m) to join our Procurement department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of the Airbus Procurement material systems standard parts team in charge of procuring products related with all fluids conveyance, systems attachments, insulation and seals for cabin, systems and aerostructure applications for the entire Airbus group.

These products are qualified by Airbus, and supplied either directly to Airbus plants and FAL or incorporated into work-packages delivered assembled to Airbus (indirect business)

Your challenges:

  • Be responsible for the end to end procurement activity for a portfolio of standard parts/specified items products for all programs & plants, including market intelligence, strategy definition / implementation, call for tenders, commercial negotiation and contract execution (Logistics, support, quality, cost...)

  • Lead the Multifunctional/Multidivisional teams all along the tendering, contracting and contract life cycle phases.

  • Ensure sourcing activity, manage the tendering and the contract negotiation to achieve the best purchasing conditions in accordance within Company requirements.

  • Manage the day to day relationships with suppliers and run projects to optimize customer value, while minimizing total cost of ownership & risks (cost optimization, redesign to cost, standardization, transfer of work,etc)

  • Set-up processes and collaborative approach between Aerostructure and Material procurement organizations to improve work-packages cost-base through enablement

Your boarding pass

  •  5-years experience, ideally as a buyer, but motivated candidates from other functions are welcome

  • Interest in technical aspects

  • Capability to prepare and deliver clear messages to various audiences including top management

  •  Team mindset and ability to work with people from different functions and countries

  •  Adaptable

  •  Knowledge in Contract management

  •  Ability to deal with financial aspects (Proficiency in Excel)

  •  Ability to step back and analyze get the big picture, think out of the box and bring innovative solutions

  •  Language skills: Negotiation level of English required. French or German are a plus
