Swan is looking for a brilliant Lead QA to manage Quality Assurance and Release Management.

The role is inherently cross-functional, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Product, and Support teams to help define best practices and processes that deliver excellent experiences internally and for our clients.

This is a new role at Swan and you will report to our CPO.

You will need to think strategically and to build the vision & processes for a centralized QA and release management system. Your ambition will be to establish product excellence and best practices across many varied technical components and product teams.

You  have a passion for scaling process and change management. Most of all, you love building a culture of quality and stability through partnerships with the engineer team.

Here is a snapshot of some of the responsibilities you will have:

• Directly manage all QA activities
• Identifying and implementing a Test Strategy and Planning in Agile cycle
• Establishing best practices and testing processes by promoting the “test culture” inside the company
• Making continuous improvements to QA and Release processes
• Establishing automated, repeatable and manual testing to assure everything in the release is running smoothly for users
• Developing and implementing processes and approaches for effective automation testing
• Having a clear picture of the overall development dependencies and how changes can affect stability of the whole
• Maintaining the release schedule and prioritization for all technical components and ensuring alignment across all teams (and partners)
• Creating clear release plans and runbooks, including governance and approval requirements
• Conducting Release Go/No-go reviews with key stakeholders
• Planning and providing weekly updates on the release activities
• Setting and measuring QA and Release management success metrics

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of working experience as a QA in a fast-growth Tech environment. Release and/or project management experience would be a plus
• Solid understanding of project management principles preferred
• Thorough knowledge of QA and release management toolsets, processes, and procedures
• Experience initiating organizational change projects and starting new projects from scratch
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams toward task completion
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and system architecture design standards for robustness and resiliency
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills (Excellent working abilities in English)
• Strong people leadership, team management skills are a must. Excellent team player and fun to work with
