About the job
Spendesk is looking for a new Director for our Platform Engineering team. You will be responsible for building our platform strategy as well as growing and managing the team through the execution of your strategy.
Our Platform Engineering scope includes SRE, Developer Experience, Data Engineering, Security and Delivery to create a complete support ecosystem for our 100+ people product and banking teams. You'll be free to structure the team as you see fit depending on the current needs and will have full autonomy on the implementation of the strategy.
You are comfortable managing 15+ people teams and growing them rapidly in a highly competitive global marketplace. You are creative in solving short-term resourcing challenges while building sustainable, agile, high velocity distributed teams that operate well together with a sense of cohesion.
You have a balanced understanding of technical strategy and business goals with a heavy bias towards operational excellence in building and maintaining high performing infrastructures and state-of-the-art developer experience.
You are someone people love to work with and have a track record of motivating your teams to deliver impactful solutions to meet and exceed audacious organisation-wide goals.
