Job description

We are looking for a driven, client-focused, and hands-on Lead Account Manager to join our US National team. This is a player-coach role: you will not only manage key client relationships and campaigns but also provide day-to-day guidance and support to a small team of Account Managers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the success of your own accounts while helping elevate team performance, sharing best practices, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture. You’ll act as a strategic advisor to top-tier clients, blending deep programmatic expertise with a performance-first mindset to deliver measurable results and uncover growth opportunities. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and enjoys both rolling up their sleeves and helping others grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for your own book of business, building strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Support client retention through proactive engagement, including office hours, lunch & learns, and industry events.
  • Develop client-aligned media strategies using market trends, audience insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities across open exchange and PMP formats.
  • Use performance data to develop retention plans and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate on pre-launch activities: brief reviews, creative mocks, sitelists, and quality checks.
  • Maintain and manage Deal Libraries and targeting strategies.
  • Deliver ongoing performance updates, QBRs, and post-campaign wrap-ups.
  • Provide curated reporting: site lists, green PMPs, RFIs, RFPs, and campaign trackers.
  • Provide mentorship and support to a small team of Account Managers.
  • Lead by example with hands-on campaign execution and strategic client engagement.
  • Share programmatic expertise and best practices across the team to drive consistency and elevate execution.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members as needed.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Optimization Managers to align on strategy, setup, and execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing and solutions teams for demos, insights, and product recommendations.
  • Own and develop an SME project to deepen expertise in Sharethrough/Equativ capabilities and support strategic outcomes across the sales cycle.
  • Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of programmatic, adtech, DSPs, SSPs, and PMP execution.
  • Experience managing or mentoring others in a team setting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with optimization, attribution, and programmatic performance metrics.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools a plus.
  • BS/BA or equivalent.
