About Captain Wallet: Captain Wallet (recently acquired by Brevo) is the leading wallet marketing platform in France, enabling clients to engage efficiently with their customers’ mobile wallets at the right time and the right place and allows brands to connect to wallets like Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. For brands, wallets create a highly personalized and effective communication channel directly on their mobile with their consumers. We are a team of 30 employees working with 200 (and growing!) key accounts, such as Intersport, Monoprix, McDonald's, Le Bon Marché, Malakoff Humanis, Sandro, Décathlon, Sephora, Courir, Lacoste, Sarenza, Auchan, L’Occitane. We are serving customers in more than 150 countries!

By joining, Captain Wallet you will be working alongside our Chief Software Engineer to build the Core Services team.

With scalability in mind, the Core Services team will be responsible for identifying key services from Captain Wallet and reengineering them for a wider purpose at Brevo. By exposing these services to both Captain Wallet and Brevo products, the team will be a key player in building the synergy between Captain Wallet and Brevo.

You'll have the opportunity to be the first member of this new team, taking an important role in it to make your work a key factor in the company's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand our clients and challenge the Graphic UX/UI Team to make sure we're designing the best user experience; design website custom design.
  • Code the interface while taking care of all the details described in our design system to bring to life an incredible user experience.
  • Build state-of-the-art micro-frontends that integrate with our REST APIs.
  • Work in a cross-functional team, respecting the methods and best practices defined together, based on the best standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams such as the Product Development team, QA, DevOps, SRE, Product team, Support, etc.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
  • Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Must Have:

  • At least 2+ years of experience as Lead UI and overall 5+ years of experience in development
  • Ability to pick up new technology concepts on the fly and discuss them with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly positive attitude and ability to build conducive working relationships with colleagues from all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of ReactJS & Redux and in-depth working knowledge is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of Advanced vanilla JS concepts is a must.
  • Knowledge writing unit test cases using Jest, RTL(react testing library).
  • Knowledge of mobile web development and PWA is a plus
  • Autonomy and excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills can move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking.
  • You want to iterate quickly and safely on high-scale systems.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose iterative solutions
  • Experience with performance and optimisation problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
  • Experience in production with running large distributed systems.
