The position

Job description

We are a growing SaaS company, composed of a dedicated team of 100 professionals, focused on delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions. The Finance team’s mission is to drive financial accountability and sustainable growth by embedding cost-efficiency into every layer of our products and infrastructure.

As a FinOps Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing cloud spend, partnering closely with Product, Tech, Data, and Finance teams. Your insights and proactive recommendations will help shape our architecture choices, product roadmaps, and budgeting processes to ensure we deliver maximum business value at minimal cost.

📍 The position can be based in Paris, Rennes or fully remote. Professional trips paid for by the company might be required.

Your missions :

  1. Cloud cost management and optimization

    • Daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring of cloud spending (OVH, Akamai, Azure, etc.).

    • Implementation and automation of cost monitoring dashboards in coordination with the Data & Finance team

    • Identification of anomalies, deviations, or inefficiencies; implementation of corrective actions.

    • Translation of technical metrics (CPU hours, storage GB, bandwidth usage, etc.) into financial terms for use in strategic planning and valuation models.

  2. Impact of new products on the cost structure

    • Working upstream with the Product and Tech teams to anticipate the impact of new products, features, or architectures on the cost structure.

    • Analyzing the unit cost (gross product margin) and scaling cost of new offerings.

    • Participating in product design decisions by integrating economic considerations (serverless vs. containerized architecture, storage vs. compute, etc.).

    • Assisting in the development of product business cases: cost simulation, pricing, profitability.

  3. Cross-team collaboration & acculturation

    • Work on a daily basis with the SRE, DevOps, Data, and Product teams to integrate FinOps culture from the design stage.

    • Continuously raise awareness among teams about responsible cloud consumption (Finance and CSR).

    • Support squads in implementing FinOps practices from the build phases onwards.

  4. Strategic reporting & governance

    • Production of monitoring reports for the Exco and investors (cost breakdown, margins per product/customer, etc.).

    • Monitoring of key KPIs: technical acquisition cost per customer, infrastructure cost per feature, product margin.

    • Contribution to cloud strategy discussions: technical trade-offs, reservations, long-term commitments.

  5. Financial modeling for budgeting

    • Building granular budget forecasting models, integrating changes in usage and volume, by product

    • Modeling the impact of infrastructure changes (e.g., migration, new cloud providers, architecture shifts) on short- and long-term cost structure.

    • Construction and maintenance of financial models to support annual budgeting processes, scenario planning, and rolling forecasts, in collaboration with the Finance team.

    • Collaboration with FP&A and Strategy teams to assess investment returns on new products or platform enhancements.

Preferred experience

🤩 We are excited to meet you if :

  • 3+ years in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or related role within a SaaS/technology environment.

  • Proven track record of optimizing multi-cloud spend (Azure, AWS, GCP, OVH, Akamai) and automating cost monitoring.

  • Strong financial modeling and budgeting skills; ability to build rolling forecasts and scenario analyses.

  • Excellent data analytics proficiency: advanced Excel, SQL, and familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

  • Technical curiosity: understanding of serverless vs. container architectures, storage vs. compute trade-offs, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

  • Capacity to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • You speak and write English fluently

☘️ Bonus points :

  • Experience with cost-management platforms (CloudHealth, Cloudability, Azure Cost Management) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity sector is advantageous but not required.

  • Background in CSR or sustainability reporting.

  • Familiarity with financial systems and ERP tools.
