Job description

  • MISSION - Job Purpose:
  • The Deployment Leader plays a pivotal role in IT projects that deliver direct value to Schneider Electric. As part of the Customer Support Projects & Deployment team, the Deployment Leader is responsible for executing projects within the DCR Customer Support portfolio.Key Responsibilities:
    • Roadmap Development: Collaborate with Customer Support Project Managers, domain business leader and country spoc to build strategic roadmaps.
    • Project Management: Plan and oversee the deployment phase of digital projects from initiation to closure.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure effective communication with countries, organize settings, training, and adoption streams to guarantee project success.
    • Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Act as the primary liaison for local business teams during project deployment, securing their commitment.
    • Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with the central Project and Solution team responsible for delivering global solutions.
    • Project Coordination: Manage medium to complex deployments involving multiple resources, ensuring a thorough understanding of:
      • IT tools activation
      • Impacted business processes (new or modified)
      • Deployment methodology and framework
      • Project objectives in terms of KPIs and adoption
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Project Ownership: Own the Project Deployment Roadmap and commit to local deployment gates.
    • Country Relations: Manage relationships with countries within the project scope.
    • Scope Management: Ensure adherence to scope, schedule, resource, and budget commitments.
    • Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate project deployment gates with all involved stakeholders, adhering to constraints set by the DSS Customer Support & Quality Project Manager and Project Sponsor.
    • Change Control: Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
    • Issue Resolution: Manage timely resolution of issues, escalating those beyond the project team's scope.
    • Status Reporting: Regularly report deployment status to management.
    • Methodology Adherence: Follow Schneider Digital Deployment Project methodology, including Agile practices for solution/application delivery:
      • Initiation: Open local deployment project phase
      • Validation: Validate local deployment phase, including technical settings, communication, training, and adoption tasks.
      • Go Live: Ensure readiness for production
      • Closure: Complete and review local project deployment
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Legitimacy:
    • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Schneider Electric products and solutions.
    • Project Experience: Experience managing multi-phase small to medium deployment projects across various process areas.
    • Resource Management: Experience working with on-shore and off-shore resources.
    Project Skills:
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage key stakeholders (local SPOC, vendors, etc.).
    • Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate agreements.
    • Global Coordination: Ability to manage IT projects with team members and stakeholders across continents.
    • Autonomy: Ability to work independently.
    • Problem Solving: Identify issues/risks, analyze causes, and develop action plans.
    • Flexibility: Creative problem-solving skills.
    • Methodology: Proficiency in deployment methodologies using standard tools (e.g., MS Project).
