Position Summary

As a member of the DevOps team, you bring your technical expertise to support multiple squads and are responsible for the architecture and maintenance of the Prose infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for maintaining, architecting, designing, and enhancing our platform focusing on our infrastructure.
• Take ownership of our existing cloud-hosted Kubernetes clusters.
• Maintain our self-hosted Gitlab instance and ensure your developer peers have the necessary tools for delivering excellent software through CI, CD, and automated testing
• Audit, compare, and select the open-source technologies that we can build upon
• Ensure that we are shipping stable, high-quality code to which you are proud to be a contributor
• On-board and mentor new engineers on our development processes as well as introducing and presenting new technologies to peer engineers.
• Work closely with various stakeholders to design and implement supporting infrastructure for new product features
• Bring your personal expertise and ideas to help solve problems creatively and effectively
• Promote the company’s mission and values

Key Candidate Requirements

• Experience with managing a multi-service production platform on a cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud
• Experience with a managed Kubernetes environment
• Developer Experience focused, experience setting up and designing developers tools, pipelines, and processes
• Communication skills in French and English
• Ability to produce technical documentation detailing our service and architecture designs
• Discoverability and scalability awareness.
• Experience working in a tech team with collaborative tools (such as GitLab) and agile processes (Scrum)

• Knowledgeable in monitoring and profiling with a willingness to maintain and enhance current dashboards and tools
• Experience in deploying, managing, and monitoring self-hosted GitLab is a strong plus
• A good understanding of Linux (Debian) and Containerization technology (Docker) is a requirement
• Knowledge of web architecture and networking is a strong plus
• Experience with cloud providers and its managed services, preferably Google Cloud, is a strong plus
