As Database Administrator you will be part of our MS SQL Service Operations team that handles the daily operation of more than 2,000 MS SQL installations and 30,000+ user databases. The MS SQL Service Operations team ensures smooth operation of MS SQL databases for web sites, SAP, Axapta, SharePoint and many other applications.   

Your responsibilities as MS SQL Database Administrator  

Your primary tasks will be:   

• Participate in the daily operations of incident, service and change request management  

• Be involved in consolidation, automation and performance optimization   

• Documentation of operations and services   

• Provide guidance and counselling   

You will be thoroughly acquainted with the job through an introduction course, where you will learn about our working methods and processes.  

Your will join our MS SQL Service Operations team 

Globally, the Database Operations department consists of operation specialists that are skilled in MS SQL, Oracle and DB2 and are offering both operational and consultancy support. As MS SQL Operational Specialist you will be responsible for the daily operations and optimization of our customers’ MS SQL databases. We share knowledge and back each other up in the day-to-day tasks and we strive for continuous development as a team and work place.   

The team works closely together with our IT Operations Services division in Denmark, responsible for everything from infrastructure and applications to complete orchestration and support of our customers’ IT solutions. Our work processes are based on best practice and our procedures follow ITIL standards (IT Infrastructure Library).  

Your qualifications and experience 

We expect you to have worked a least 3+ years as SQL DBA in an operations role, have a MCDBA, MCITP or equal knowledge within the operation of MS SQL Server. We also expect you to have a deep knowledge about the Windows platform as well as knowledge on the SQL Server Cluster, Database mirroring and hands on always on.  

You have a business-oriented approach to communication and a problem-solving attitude. You have strong analytical skills as well as a structured positive way of thinking. You speak and write fluent English.
