The position

Job description

We are looking for a Growth Manager, who will be  responsible for the growth of the Eastern EU markets (Poland, Baltics, and others) and client portfolio in a self-determined and analytical way. This role entails active prospecting and sales activities combined with building and managing a local team of sales executives.

What does that mean exactly?

  • Proactive building of a prospection pipeline and hunting of strategic key prospects
  • Taking ownership of the whole sales cycle from first engagement to “go-live”
  • Following successful prospection: the establishment and management of a dedicated sales team
  • Implementation and monitoring of the sales strategy for the Eastern EU region (Focussing on Poland and Baltics to start with)
  • KPI monitoring and control of activities in marketing and sales
  • Regional adaptation projects for the product strategy developed in France and Luxembourg
  • Reports go directly to the Chief Revenue Officer
  • This role comes with a broad set of responsibilities and creative freedom and therefore requires a motivated personality with a lot of self-drive and analytical-creative experience in sales and team management.

Areas of responsibility:Sales (50-80%)

  • Outbound direct prospection (“hunting”) of key accounts
  • Acquisition of multipliers as sales partners
  • Segmentation of the market / development of the sales strategy with CRO
  • Development of a personal brand and consultant role in the PSD2, AML5 segment and the above-mentioned customer segments via webinars, PR, trade fairs and seminars.

Team leader (10-20%)

  • Management of the Sales Team for the EAST region
  • Matrix-organization of the Customer Success Manager EAST (with existing team and team leader in Berlin)
  • Local management of marketing activities

Product (10-25%)

  • Elaboration of product requirements for EAST, participation in internal projects in product development
  • Accompaniment of the integration projects as an escalation step behind the customer success management

Preferred experience

Requirements

  • Proven 5+ years experience of outperforming sales targets in an individual contributor, quota carrying role
  • 5+ years experience managing complex sales cycles averaging 6-9 months, with multiple client stakeholders
  • 5+ years of proven experience of meeting and achieving sales targets as an outbound sales/hunter in the Tech industry
  • 2+ years experience in Consultative Sales/Solution Selling to C-Level decision makers in the Fintech / Payment Segment / Marketplace
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements
  • Strongly metrics and KPIs oriented with experience in defining and tracking sales performances; Experience using SalesForce a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and manage time. This is a fast-paced role that requires organization and a self-starter approach.
  • Work experience in B2B, FinTech and/or payment solutions is required; technical understanding of payment services a plus
  • Experience using Salesforce in the past is a plus
  • As our offices are spread across Europe, professional / native proficiency in English and Polish  are required. Any other Eastern European languages are a big plus
  • Mobility required - regular business trips are part of the role (if the health situation permits)

Bonus points for

  • Proven experience leading sales teams (SDRs, inbound or outbound sales)
  • Existing network in ecommerce/marketplace from which they may drive sales
