Following a Series C round of funding, Malt is opening an office in the UK. As part of the initial launch team we are looking for an experienced Talent Manager based in London.  

As the Talent Manager you will work directly with the CPO and Country Manager to pilot the Talent Acquisition and HR strategy in the UK. As one of the first employees in the UK you will also have a strategic impact and you will shape the culture of the local team for the years to come. We are looking for entrepreneurial and optimistic individuals.

As a Talent Manager, your missions will be:

Talent Acquisition

* Recruit the best! At Malt we believe people are our most important asset! We intend to build a team of ~20 employees for 2023, 40 in 2024.

* Use a mix of headhunting, job adverts and referrals to identify future Malters

* If necessary, select and manage our pool of recruitment agencies

* Own the interview process (screening, in person interviews and case studies) working with hiring managers to objectively assess candidates experience, and most importantly, their potential

* Ensure the best candidate experience, ensuring candidates are kept up to date all the way through the recruitment process

* Help our employer branding shine online and offline

Local HR management

* Onboarding of new Malters and with a focus on the new-hire experience

* Advising Managers and Employees on all HR related topics

* Training and development

Culture & Office Life

* Everyone at Malt is responsible for Culture but as the local Talent Manager your role will be critical

* Organise formal and informal events

* Help make Malt the best place to work in the UK.

About you:

  • 3 + years of experience in recruitment, ideally in an agency or fast growing startup
  • Native-level fluency in English
  • Proven ability to hunt A-playersTrustworthy, credible and reliable
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building
  • Entrepreneurial DNA : Optimistic, creative solutions driven mindset, with a get things done attitude
  • A passion for Malt’s mission and values 
  • A very strong desire to grow the brandExcited about the prospect of joining one of the fastest-growing freelancer marketplaces in Europe !
  • Recruitment process:

  • Interview with Elisa, our Head of Talent Acquisition, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (45-60 minutes)
  • A business case with Richard, our Chief People Officer, and Viktoria, our HR Manager Germany (35-45 minutes)
  • Interview with Quentin (GM Northern Europe) and Charlie (Malt UK country head), to discuss Malt’s long term vision
